It's an alright mall. It's quite old and has an odd design to it nowaday. It's anchored by a Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart and Metro. The Metro is 24 hours (as of this writing), so it's a good place to stop in if you need some late night snacks, food, etc. Inside, its age is obvious. There are many smaller stores, as well as a few well known ones, such as Dollarama. The food court is rather small, and selection isn't as great as other places. There is a full restaurant called Watts that you can get to both from inside and outside, and they had good food the last time I was there (years ago now). As one of my childhood malls, it hasn't changed drastically, and is need of many upgrades, maybe even a complete renovation. All in all, it's in a pretty dense area, so it gets lots of traffic and is worth a stop if you need to do some quick shopping. However, it's small and there isn't too much selection.

Eglinton Square Shopping Centre is a convenient and popular shopping destination located in the heart of Toronto. This indoor shopping center offers a variety of stores, including major retailers like Walmart and Hudson's Bay, as well as smaller specialty shops. The mall also features a food court with a variety of dining options and a movie theater for entertainment. The center is well-maintained and clean, making it a pleasant environment for shopping and leisure activities. The mall also hosts events and activities throughout the year, such as seasonal displays and community events. One of the standout features of Eglinton Square Shopping Centre is its accessibility, with a subway station located adjacent to the mall. Overall, Eglinton Square Shopping Centre is a convenient and enjoyable destination for anyone looking for a variety ofshopping and entertainment options in the Toronto area.

There was a couple of young women driving near the keg in Ajax in the Durham centre outdoor mall making a wrong turn when it’s not there right of way that is what you call someone who lacks a moral compus knowing that there is no traffic police around and knowing that they drive in a infinity car which is considered a luxury car and breaking the law even though it’s a minor crime so I hope by posting there license plate on the internet since the police can’t deal with it they will learn there lesson as since the police can’t give Them a fine invasion of privacy is my way of making them example

"Eglinton Square Shopping Centre: A Stark Reminder of Yesteryears' Retail"

In the thriving, bustling city of Toronto, where modernity and innovation often set the pace for most sectors, Eglinton Square Shopping Centre stands out – but perhaps not for reasons one might hope. Instead of offering a dynamic and vibrant retail experience like many of its counterparts, Eglinton Square feels more like a relic of the past, seemingly stuck in a time warp and struggling to keep up with the changing landscape of contemporary shopping needs.

Upon entering the mall, one is immediately struck by the lack of energy and vibrancy. Instead of a myriad of bustling stores showcasing the latest trends and enticing window displays, a series of nondescript shops greet visitors. There's a palpable sense of monotony, with the center lacking any distinctive character or flair. It feels less like a shopping destination and more like a passageway one might use to cut through on a chilly day.

The tenant mix, rather than being diverse and catering to a broad demographic, seems uninspired. Instead of finding eclectic boutiques, gourmet eateries, or high-tech outlets, visitors are met with a selection of stores that feel generic and outdated. The few recognizable brands that have managed to hold their ground appear to be mere shadows of their other, more vibrant city locations.

One can't help but wonder: How, in a city as dynamic as Toronto, does a shopping centre like Eglinton Square continue to operate? Is it purely a matter of location, serving the immediate community's basic needs? Or is it perhaps a testament to a loyal customer base, resistant to change and comfortable in the familiarity the mall offers?

While its continued operation might baffle many urbanites accustomed to glitzier, more engaging shopping experiences, it's essential to acknowledge that not every establishment needs to be a hub of excitement. There's a certain charm in simplicity, and for those looking for a quiet, unpretentious shopping experience, Eglinton Square might just fit the bill. However, in an era where experiential retail is increasingly becoming the norm, the mall's refusal or inability to adapt could be its eventual undoing.

The staff and service workers within the mall, it must be said, are its redeeming quality. Often friendly and accommodating, they offer a personal touch, reminiscent of a time when customer service was paramount. It's this human element that offers a brief respite from the overarching blandness.

In conclusion, Eglinton Square Shopping Centre, in its current state, feels like a missed opportunity. With its prime location and ample space, it holds the potential to be so much more than it currently is. While its existence in today's retail climate is puzzling to some, it serves as a reminder of a bygone era of retail – straightforward, no-frills, and purely functional. As Toronto continues to evolve and modernize, one can only hope that Eglinton Square either finds its unique niche or undergoes a much-needed rejuvenation to reflect the city's...

Over all not the worst mall, very small not much selection in stores, however my review is in reguards to a store i visited last year (dont remember the name) as i dont usually shop at this mall. It is a baby/ childrens clothing store its flrun by a husband and wife (asian descent) they sell toys, as well as dress up clothes. I was shopping for a baptism dress. They were not helpful at all their store was a complete un-organized mess! Items just thrown everywhere sizes all mixed together and no sizes on most items or prices. When we asked for a size or price they would try to be helpful however the store was so un organized they had trouble finding things thenselves. The store is not very big however due to the mess and lack of organization we ended up spending an hour and a half before we found a dress her size. When we found it the couple that own the store gave us a price of $125.00 when the tag clearly stated the dress was $80.00 when we showed them the tag they did agree to honor the price on the tag however they were clearly unhappy to do so.Wwhile we were cashing out our items they gave us our reciept and told us their store was closing down that same week and would not be re-opening. After learning this i was a little more forgiving about the mess and chaos in the store and understood the reason for it. However.. I visited the mall yesterday (1 year later) to run into metro and check out foot locker for my daughter school shoes & to my surprise i saw the store still open and still a huge mess and the same people working there. I was extremely annoyed especially since the baptism 1 year prior was just 3 days after i bought the $80 dress from them and the flowers that were glued on to it had fallen off 1 day after purchase and i had to re-glue them myself for the baptism i feel like they knew their clothes were cheap and not well made so they lied to me so i wouldnt try to return with the reciept. Watch out for these people and dont buy anything they are rip offs...
