Asked for Earl Grey Latte and received it very bitter in flavour. Normally, my experience with the latte in Lebovic Ave would be creamy and aromatic, with zero bitterness. The worker who tried to help me added more steamed milk in it and told me it’s due to the tea bag being placed in the drink for too long to which I responded that I did remove it after receiving it. He didn’t say anything and left. The Indian cashier who made it for me was aware and only gave me a glance after that. No apology or remaking the drink to suit the customer’s needs. Just a blank look. Completely different from the excellent customer service if I would ever walked into Starbucks as they are trained to bring true customer satisfaction. My mom who used to work in Second Cup many decades ago said they would usually have to steam the milk first before putting in the tea bag. So it seems that the cashier who originally made the drink for me didn’t know how to make it. This is probably from the lack of knowledge and skill in training to make the Earl Grey (London Fog) latte. I tried finishing half of the latte but it honestly left me with a headache due to the amount of caffeine that was steeped in it. It still tasted bitter but didn’t want to bother any further. And then I asked again and the lady pointed to the sign and said they are there, read the sign. Not everyone can read (I can) and didn't know.
