Thanks to Drake for investing and providing the city with this fairly new concert venue. We certainly need more of them! I have been on a few occasions. Nice size, not too big, not too small, it feels like a big warehouse, not overly fancy decor wise, but tasteful. The venue provides various options for seating or standing, which is nice. More standing options, though, than seating. When you come into the establishment, there are no stairs and there is a huge bar along the back wall and space to stand in that area, along with a long counter top to stand at, at the front of that standing area to put your drinks on, but no seats. Along with an additional bar on the far end. On either end of the counter, there are stairs leading to the main floor area in front of the stage. If you have mobility challenges, you could still go to this venue, but there are stairs in various areas, which makes them inaccessible from what I noticed. I'm not sure where there is an area for people who require a wheelchair that would provide the necessary views of the stage. So, if you do want to go to this venue, i would inquire about it's accessibility before purchasing a ticket. On the entrance floor level close to the main entrance, there is a large box, i guess, for large groups. I think it has tables and chairs from what i remember seeing from a previous visit. It's not on the ground level, on the entry level. On the upper level, there is another bar, which provides not only beverages but various snacks, like pizza slices, for those who get the munchies, lol, or don't get a chance to have dinner before they groove. There is 1 row of seats along the front of the balcony level, and behind that row, there are boxes with individual tables and chairs that seat 2 people per table, that I noticed. Perhaps there might be boxes that have tables that seat 4. And from what I noticed in the area I was standing, I believe it's seating for up to six or 8 in each boxed off area. Behind the boxed seating area, there is a countertop running along it with seating as well. Also, behind the box seating area on the upper level there is again, an area to stand with a couple of monitors to watch the concert, if you are unlucky enough to have a group of giants in front of you, lol. And on that note, i really wish venues would somehow have it set up so the tall people would stand at the back of the venues, lol, so those who choose not to purchase a seat, or if no seats are available, dont have to keep moving around to get a better view, just saying. Wouldn't that be heaven for height challenged people! Plenty of staff and security around if needed, all of whom are dressed in black, which adds some class. And now, most importantly, the sound in this venue is GREAT! I would definitely recommend this venue for your concert going. I only wish it was closer to where I live, but being the concert junkie I am, I will be back whenever someone i love comes to entertain us all. Cheers to you,...

I had a very great time with history

I came here to go see Central Cee and he was performing for the first night and first day and the venue was pretty solid and decent. One thing I like about the venue is they don’t provide any floor seating area but there’s also like a balcony area where you buy drinks and buy merch and one thing that I like is that the merch stand is near the concert stage so when you’re standing in line for merch, you don’t have to worry about the concert starting and not seeing anything such as Scotiabank Arena And Budweiser or Rogers Stadium you have to wait in merch stand outside or even during the stadium and not being able to see the show and have a chance of missing it but for history, they have the merch Dad beside the stage so you don’t have a fear of missing the show and not seeing anything. You can still see the show and still stand for the lines in the merch

Speaking of the concert in general, they did a really good job on the concert. The speakers are good and overall it was a pretty great time. Unfortunately they serve alcohol and sometimes some people were even smoking inside the venue, but since some shows are 19+ I feel like they allow that rule of smoking or drinking but one thing that history needs to improve on is to have a non-smoking hazard so Most people are not allowed to smoke inside the venue since it can cause a fire hazard

But overall, I had a great time with Central Cee and the fact that this was near the beaches makes it even more vibe. The balcony seating is 19+ only since they serve alcohol there, but in general, this venue is specifically for the floor now if you’re seeing any artist that is meant for the floor or not, you will still have a good time in this venue and I had a great time with Central Cee And it was a pretty fun night. I’ll be going to this venue further soon in the future.

One thing that should really be improved on even more is the lines since the lines take up from the front entrance all the way at the back of the entrance all the way at the back of the venue I feel like they should be able to take up the Line and have like a safety system for it, but even though there was security during the lines to watch if anything goes wrong and history does a good job on that now one thing I should improve on is to make it a non-smoking hazard zone so people shouldn’t be allowed to smoke inside the venue since it can cause a fire, hazard or bad problem But overall general it’s a great venue and it’s great for music and if your fan you know pretty much for the concerts and stuff like that this will be a venue for you

Pretty good venue with good sight lines from all general directions around the location. A friend thought it felt like Kool Haus 2.0 if that relates to a few concert go-ers. Multiple entrances for the venue with full scanners, security personnel and metal detectors. Roped off areas to help funnel attendees which was great. Pick-up booth could have been smarter though. Usually a credit card and ID would have done the trick, but they asked for the order number and still ended up sending you a text message for your electronic ticket. A tad pointless if you're going for will-call to pick up physical tickets.

Navigation/signage could be improved to have better identified washrooms as people kept misinterpreting the universal/handicap bathroom. Actual bathrooms are along the entrance door walls. Beverages are overpriced so fair warning to have something before and they do have pizza and confectionery items. They offer free water and refills for staying hydrated. Lots of multiple vendors scattered around the venue. Standard sound tech area in the center middle of the venue. Lots of good lighting overall, sound was pretty clear/loud. Bathrooms were very clean and had a lot of stalls (2 sections: front and back rows) for the women (didn't feel like there were line-ups). Also, fun fact is that there are TVs for the streaming live so that you weren't missing the show.

Travelling to the venue involves either transit or parking at a nearby Green P parking. There's a car lot (Green P 202) behind the HISTORY venue along the Eastern Ave (turn earlier before you get to Queen St. E instead) - event price was $25 (they take card at the entrance). This is also the same lot for Woodbine Park access as well. Some shows have parking as a separate purchase for $20 during the Ticketmaster purchase but does not mention the parking lot location till closer to the event. The parking lot is next to the Beaches Cinema Lot #241 in the back. The Lot opens at 5pm. Parking is valid until 7:00am the following day. Limited Spaces available night of event. In-person, the event parking costs $25 instead of $20. Transit involves either from Coxwell station via the Coxwell Bus (22A/B) or ride the 501 Queen Streetcar to Neville Park or the 503 Kingston Road to Victoria Park. All of them will bring you to Queen St. East at Kingston Road for the closest stop to get to HISTORY.

Do note - the line does wrap around the building if you get there while there's still a wait. Also, do not bring external battery packs as they consider that a dangerous object. You will be required to leave it behind (which they do not...
