We had such a wonderful experience at Ripley's! My partner and I got to bring our 6month old child there and stroller access and washrooms for changing him was great. We got the behind the scenes experience with Melissa and she was so friendly and informative! Then I did the string Ray experience and being in the water with them was a memory I will not forget! I was very nervous but Peter help calm my nerves by his step by step instructions qnd patience..it took me a little bit to get into the water..lol. Also, Peter was so informative, professional and made the experience that much better! Who knew I would be going to touch the sting rays and come out with such knowledge on a lot more! He had such a great sense of humor and educated me on not just the sting rays, their names, what they like to eat, personalities, how to touch them, walk in the water as to not harm any of the sting rays, why the water was that temperature, etc..but also the little shark that came around (which I was nervous about but Peter reassured me, kept a close eye, and made sure my hands we out of the water when the shark came close, THANK you Peter!!!) and told me about what else was in that tank with us! Peter also told me about the kelp area, how they take care of the tanks, what they feed the sharks and other marine life, and the octopus! It was such an informative and fun experience with Peter. I can not wait to go back with my son and say hello to Peter!! Thanks again to Peter and Melissa for such a wonderful, educational, and carefree experience!!! You guys...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Underwater Experience in the Heart of Toronto

We visited Ripley’s Aquarium during a weekend stay in downtown Toronto with our 8-year-old, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. We purchased tickets online in advance, which I highly recommend — the aquarium is very busy, especially on weekends, and having a timed ticket made our entry seamless.

The exhibits are spectacular — from stingrays, sea turtles, and jellyfish to sharks and even axolotls, it’s a beautifully curated journey through aquatic life. There’s even a small section with reptiles and amphibians, adding extra variety. Our son was completely captivated.

We went on a Saturday afternoon, which was understandably crowded, so if you're looking for a quieter visit, I’d suggest going first thing in the morning or later in the day. Despite the crowds, everything was well organized, and the flow of the experience kept us moving comfortably.

Plan to spend about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on how much time you like to spend at each exhibit. We loved the tunnel where sharks swim overhead — it was breathtaking — and the glowing jellyfish displays were unforgettable.

There’s a small café halfway through, which is handy for a snack or quick break. One note: if you're prone to motion sensitivity or sensory overwhelm, some areas may feel a bit stimulating, especially when it's packed with people. But overall, it’s a must-visit for families or anyone who loves marine life.

Highly recommend it — we really...

A mixed experience at this downtown aquarium. The environment is well-maintained with a variety of fish species, some active and others resting. The underwater displays are visually appealing and create an immersive atmosphere.

However, the value for money is questionable. The entire experience can be completed in about 45 minutes, which feels short for the ticket price. Many exhibits seemed repetitive, with similar-looking fish in different tanks.

Highlights: Good variety of fish species. Clean, well-maintained environment. Engaging for children

Areas for improvement:1 Limited diversity in exhibits (more jellyfish and starfish would be welcome). Lack of larger marine life (no dolphins). Better value for ticket price needed

Overall, it's a decent attraction for families with young children, but adults and marine enthusiasts might find it lacking in depth and variety. Consider visiting during off-peak hours for a less crowded...

Great place to see lots of live sharks, rays, turtles, fish, & anemones. Massive tanks!! Even on a packed Saturday things moved along very well. Enjoyed the hot dog & fries part way thru, & of course the aquarium tunnel is fab!
