Original 1914 location of the Dominion Bank - which at 12 storeys was a skyscraper in its day. Now, the Vault is a subterranean, historic, unique and intimate wedding venue. Literally at basement level, this two-story, solid steel vault grandstands a forty tonne door. Nineteen horses and eight teamsters hauled it into place in 1914 when it was considered high tech security and an icon of trust boasted by Toronto Dominion Bank.

A petit piece of Toronto history rests under a now stately building. Ground floor access from the side door of the building on King. There are signs detailing stories of objects’ significance. PATH is also connected, tho personal verification has yet been done. Hope this culturally significant site with “relicts” be preserved for the modern world to acknowledge the rapid development of Toronto.

Pretty cool to see an old bank vault up close and personal. Recommend a visit if you’re in downtown Toronto. There is an entrance from PATH that takes you directly to the vault door next to the stairs of the subway entrance

It's a pretty cool thing to see. It's a giant vault door. It used to be the old Toronto Dominion Bank vault door. The hotel seems nice and the restaurant connected to the building seems pretty lavish. But the vault door is probably the coolest thing in the building. It's totally free to see, and you can...
