I kept passing by this place, and it was always crowded in the mornings so wanted to try it. Such a disappointment..! I guess the crowd was just subway traffic in rush hour. Or just for coffee. I ordered a latte. Poor foam art-if you are into that- but it tasted good. However, my food was a big shock. I waited more than 20min for avocado toast. Then the thing came looked nothing like the photos they put. Overcooked egg, died (probably 2 days ago) radish, a few grape tomato halves for $18! I sent it back, explained the egg was overcooked and all that. The staff didn’t want to change at the beginning-said kitchen might be closing ( 12.30pm. They write breakfast is available till 1pm). I asked her to ask if its possible, anyway she said ok. They changed but the new one was also not any different.. I add the photo they put in menu, the one came at first and the one they “changed”. at that point, I was so hungry and couldn’t deal with this anymore. I ate whatever it is. There was even something that I couldn’t identify what it is. Hoped maybe it was over-crispy bacon bcs it looked dark red and try to bite it. Nope, just smt burned-still don’t know what it was. An exciting Sunday breakfast turned into a frustrating disappointment. I suggest the person prepares avocado toast to at least google what s/he cooks. Staff behind the coffeeshop counter was helpful, I don’t blame them at all. However, I wonder if management ever tries what they have been serving.. Worst spent $30 in total. Will never come back.

Nestled inside the stunning One King West Hotel, Daily Ritual Cafe felt like a true hidden gem in the core of Toronto’s Financial District. What surprised me most was the quality and creativity of the food: far exceeding what you’d expect from a typical hotel café. The One King Breakfast was a standout: the three-egg omelet was cooked just right: fluffy with no rubbery edges and paired perfectly with crisp strips of bacon and juicy sausage links. The hashbrowns were golden and well-seasoned, adding the kind of hearty crunch every breakfast plate needs. The sourdough toast was thick-cut and lightly buttered, served warm; the kind of detail that made this breakfast feel intentionally crafted. The Pancakes were soft and airy with a subtle vanilla note, generously drizzled in dulce de leche and real maple syrup. The berry compote added a tart contrast, and the Sterling Creamery butter and whipped cream brought it all together in rich, creamy harmony. They weren’t overly sweet, but indulgent in the best way. ✨ To hear more about this review, CHECK US OUT on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, & LinkedIn @eatinontario.

Very pretty coffee shop in a prime location, especially for guests and residents of One King West as they connect internally. But their operation is very inefficient and the staff's attitude is terrible. If you unluckily stop by after 10 and before 11 you literally have nothing to eat. I came here right after 10 and the kitchen is "closed" with no egg benedict left so I switch to beef and chicken sandwiches which are not yet available. Then one of the staff try to educate me and tell me that they still have both breakfast and lunch which look like store-bought and pre-made stuff that I don't want to eat. Nevertheless, the spot has a lot of lighting so very photogenic and one of the staff did apologize. If it wasn't for that bad customer service, I would give them 4 or even 5/5 as the drink is good enough and the food seems interesting.

Downloaded the app and walked into the cafe this past Tuesday. Learned that the app is limited to ordering ahead for Pickup (Estimated 20 min wait time) or Delivery. There is no Scan & Pay In-Store functionality. First, I asked to verify in case they knew something that I couldn't see but they didn't understand and then I confirmed the options myself. No problem. I'll order "ahead". Added my CC info (but the app's validator appears outdated and doesn't validate the newer AMEX cards starting with 34). When I was trying to explain to one barista that you can only order ahead or for delivery using the app, she was rude. Another one was condescending, "explaining" how it works, and sarcastically giving me a thumbs up. Meanwhile, she never caught on. Prior to writing this review, I added a VISA to confirm that my understanding is true. For sure, there is no Scan & Pay option in the app. Only order ahead and delivery. They just didn't get it. (Note: the app developer is the same as for other cafes. They have Scan & Pay in-store. Daily Ritual does not) I gave them more than 1 star because prior to meeting these two baristas, the other ones have always been friendly and the coffee is good. These two simply don't represent the cafe well. I'll go when I wish. But I will go less often and...
