Rating: ★★★★★ Value Village in Leslieville has become my go-to thrift store, and I couldn't be happier with the experiences I've had there. As an avid donator, I'm always on the lookout for places that not only accept donations but also appreciate their patrons. And let me tell you, Value Village in Leslieville goes above and beyond! One of the standout features of this store is their incredible generosity when it comes to donations. Every time I've donated my belongings here, they've rewarded me with a coupon. It's heartwarming to know that by clearing out my unwanted items, I'm not only making a positive impact on the environment but also getting a little something in return. Stepping into the store, the first thing that strikes you is its cleanliness. The aisles are well-organized, and the displays are meticulously arranged. It's a refreshing change from the cluttered chaos often associated with thrift stores. Value Village in Leslieville takes pride in maintaining a neat and welcoming environment, making it a pleasure to browse through their vast selection. Speaking of selection, this thrift store is a treasure trove of goodies! From clothes to computers, monitors to toys, art to books, you name it, they have it. The variety is simply staggering, and it's easy to get lost in the myriad of choices. Whether you're looking for a unique vintage outfit, searching for an affordable electronic device, or simply hoping to stumble upon hidden gems, this store has it all. But what truly sets Value Village in Leslieville apart is its staff. The friendly and helpful employees make the shopping experience even more enjoyable. They're always ready to assist, whether it's helping you locate a specific item or answering questions about the store's policies. Their enthusiasm for their work shines through, and their dedication to customer satisfaction is commendable. Now, let's talk about the foot traffic. On a Sunday, the store is bustling with activity. It's clear that Value Village in Leslieville has a loyal following, and for good reason. The sheer number of people exploring the aisles and filling their shopping carts speaks volumes about the store's popularity. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff manages to handle the crowds efficiently, ensuring a smooth shopping experience for everyone. In conclusion, I can't recommend Value Village in Leslieville enough. The combination of their generous donation rewards, clean and organized store layout, extensive range of items, friendly staff, and vibrant atmosphere make it a top-notch thrift shopping destination. I'm already planning my next visit to see what new treasures await me and to donate even more. If you're a thrift enthusiast or just someone looking for unique bargains, make sure to check out Value Village in Leslieville - you won't be disappointed!

Check out the jewelry selection, they have great stuff for cheap. Otherwise, they seem basically like every other thrift store in the world... this location is clean and if you're willing to dig for sizes and items, you're sure to find a deal. Just a heads up, VALUE VILLAGE is a FOR PROFIT company, so if you want to make sure you're donating to not-for-profit organization, I suggest looking for a local clothing bank. There are many to choose from here in Toronto with a quick google search, and if you're concerned that you may be donating to a 'for-profit' organization, just call and ask. It should be easy to find, but many places hide the information in the fine print on their website (as is the case for Value Village). You should honestly look at this place as a convenient way to throw out your trash, and if there's anything worth keeping, Value Village has a team of people they employ to sort through your donations and resell anything that they think they can make money on. It is probably better than just throwing your things out, but I would say that using the term 'donation' is a bit misleading. It's really more like offering your old things so you don't have to figure out where you're going to dump them (which is helpful when you have trash service with limits on how much you can dispose of each cycle). I give them 5 stars because they don't lie about what they're doing, and they keep the place basically clean and I hope they pay their employees well. Picture below clearly shows that it is written on their website that they are a FOR PROFIT organization.

Thrift shopping is my favourite form of recycling. Number One sister moves to Leslieville during lockdown and, charming as the neighbourhood is, I wandered and found the local Village. Today was my first visit. This country boy was impressed by the selection and use of space. Friendly staff and greeting (I often wear a sour aspect which renders the Wally World greeters mute) and a staff member popped onto an empty register rather than make me wait behind an avid shopper and their cart full of value. Wider aisles would have made for a five star thrifty experience but that's more my issue than theirs. I don't undress in public and therefore cannot comment on changing rooms. Most importantly, the Darth Vader alarm clock I picked up for a friend worked with replacement batteries. ***Update Have returned again and again. My local Value Village back north charges way more for empty tins (which I repaint therapeutically) and the clothing selection here at Leslieville is better. Sister and I come to peruse every time I visit. This Sunday morning we arrived early and it was a nearly idyllic shopping experience. Kudos to the staff.

The best deal is the jewelry they put out in the mornings between 9-12 pm... I have get significant pieces on a regular basis drastically under priced. I think it’s because of the proximity to Lelsieville, ( a lot of wealthy people). To give you an example I will get a sterling silver bracelet for $4.99 that I have seen in Winners for well over $100.00. The downside is that there are regular customers who know the staff and ‘dominate’ so be watchful when the jewelry is put out as there is favouritism. Thankfully a lot of people go to the Value Village at Woodbine so that all of the bargains are evenly distributed amongst shoppers as opposed to one regular who can be quite pushy and self entitled, there are only customers now at the Woodbine location buying jewelry and I think that’s the way it should be. I think it is only fair that actual customers know about this as well so they can take advantage as jopposed to it all being hush hush. You will have to wait while it is brought out from the back and placed in the showcase or hung up and the regulars make sure that you can’t reach it, the person putting it out ensures that it goes to them as well. The grab bags are usually good but it’s the sheer volume of the silver that is put out and snatched up by a few people that amazes me. My Grandfather couldn’t believe it either when he came with me last week and saw the large silver necklace I managed to get, ( worth about $400.00), for $9.99 and said he’s ‘never seen anything like it and thought I should post a review’, after we talked about it at length. Anyways patience, watching the back and staying by the jewelry counter and going with the person as they put out the jewelry is key. Expect some static from the jewelry Pickers that go. Every. Single. Day. They are very pushy and sleazy. The pricer at the back walks out with jewelry and HANDS it to them, directly. Or, they trail behind her blocking any access.

Of course, nothing happens and they are allowed...
