It was my terrible waxing experience I ever had. I read other reviews and all said the staff seemed like she got no educated I felt the same. I had many experiences of waxing at 4-5 shops so far I can feel it. I went to this shop since I couldn't book my shop where I used to go.
Once I went to to room..god..was so messy and cotton pads were on the floor and wipes lid opened..I was thinking If they change the bed sheets everytime...
The lady came in, she was kind but she also said she never had Brazilian waxing in her life cuz it looks so painful...well.. okay it could be..
When It started, I felt nothing. Thinking, is it working? and her gloves was so sticky whenever she touched my skin..why? I think they use cheap wax which is sooo sticky and not working well. And the problem is when she applied Aloe gel it felt my skin is burning. It was opposite effect. I don't know why.
She just put the wax strip on the corner of bed after using. When I turned my body and got back, I found it was on my foot....she also dropped wax on my slippers and both not going away even I rubbed with wipes and took a shower at home........ she kept doing on the same spot which is not working and It was painful...
It took long and hard time. After all finished she applied the Aloe gel again and I couldn't hold it as it felt literally buring. I asked her to stop putting the gel. I was really feeling uncomfortable and didn't want to pay any tips. Just paid minimum.
After she left the door and when I was putting my clothes back. I saw the wipes and gel lid opened. Wax strip on the floor...was disgusting.
I worried about infection when I got home and...
Read moreSome of the nail technicians can tend to be impatient. Mine was.
The massage is minimal (my tech quickly put a bit of lotion on the back of each hand and said I was done) or non-existent (the customer next to me commented to her technician as they walked to the payment area that she had hoped for a massage).
Also, the salon smelled very strongly of chemicals throughout its entirety. I felt no airflow, although the door at the front was open. It was so strong that I felt terrible for my technician, who has to work for hours under such unhealthy conditions.
The table I got my nails done at was scratched and missing paint with no decorations--it immediately made me feel slightly icky to sit at it.
Only one technician went above and beyond. She said she is the one always called over when clients have difficulty choosing colours. I had difficulty choosing the right colours, so she went online on her phone for me and found the perfect colour scheme! I was super happy.
Even though my tech repeatedly asked which colours I wanted on which nails--and I told her each time--she still did what she wanted. The colours weren't exactly what I had told her I wanted, and she put them on in the incorrect order. So now I have random colours on my nails in random order... Not the smooth transitioning scheme the other tech and I had shown her.
I won't be going back, which is a shame because the spa looks so gorgeous every time I pass by. I've wanted to try them for so long! Ah well, there are other nail salons to...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews, especially negative ones, but I feel this experience needs to be addressed.
First, the technician named Thai was very rude and aggressive. She was not gentle at all and kept hurling my hands throughout the service. The worst part was when she applied gel on my left thumbnail and placed the LED stick over it. The heat was extremely painful, and when I tried to pull back she forcefully grabbed my thumb and continued without acknowledging my pain or offering an apology. I am fully aware that gel can heat up under the LED light because I have had it done many times, but this felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive.
Second, the pricing was misleading and outrageous. I booked through Fresha for a UV Gel Full Set at $60 plus $3 tax. That should have been straightforward. Instead, my bill came out to $78.75 with extra charges: $5 for gel tip and $10 for cuticle removal. These add-ons are not even listed on their menu, and I have never been charged extra for cuticle removal anywhere else since it is a standard part of any manicure. What made it worse was the lack of decency in their billing. The invoice I later received did not even itemize these extra charges and only showed the base service. This left me feeling like I was being scammed.
Screenshots attached as proof: the salon’s posted menu from their website, which shows no mention of the added charges, and the invoice I received that failed to itemize the extra costs.
This whole experience felt unprofessional, careless,...
