Truly disappointed after all of the social media advertising and reputation. I was expecting results that would impress me, instead I got the worst manicure I've ever got. The girl who did my nails looked so young and couldn't really understand what I was saying most of the time, I asked for almond shaped nails (got the name of the shape for their instagram posts) yet she didn't know what almond shape looked like, but made sure I was satisfied with the final shape that she did. When she first started cutting my nails she was getting some of the skin under the nail and about to cut me in almost each finger, I kept pulling my hand and trying to explain to her but she didn't understand me or realized/saw what she was doing, until she used cuticle nipper to cut my nails with. Getting to the worst part, pushing and cutting cuticles, she pushed way too much and when she started cutting the cuticles i bled in three fingers and she blamed it on my "sensitive skin", kept asking me if it hurts ( I don't know what would she do if i said yes it hurts), she didn't know how to stop the excessive bleeding in one finger and believed that letting it bleed (without cleaning it immediately) until it stops by itself was the way to go. Moving to the other hand, cutting cuticles very carefully, she was done with no injuries and started filing my nails, while the other finger is still bleeding, in the middle of filing my nails she grabbed the cuticle nipper and cut more skin until i bled again :/. To be honest, other than the cuticle cutting part her work was fine. I would give the salon another try with a different worker, however, it won't be the first salon to go to when i want to do my nails. The receptionist didn't bother asking me if i was satisfied with the service and saw me going to the counter to pay and didn't come immediately and let me wait for her. Not what you would expect to get when paying that amount of money. You can see in the picture how badly the cuticles were cut and the remaining blood. (This picture is a week after i got them done!)

EDIT: They reached out to me to resolve. Which I greatly appreciate. I moved my 🌟 from 1 to 3 since this is the second time I will be coming back because the gel wasn’t cured properly. I have no problem giving a higher rating based of the next service provided. I’ve been coming on and off to bling for quite some time. It sucks that they took there back massager chairs away but I have also found the service level go down. This is the second time that they have not completely cured my gel polish on my toes. I emailed and got no response from them this time. I booked through ClassPass since I had some credits I could use up but this shouldn’t be happening more than once. I’ve also gone before and they had deals on certain days and they didn’t give it to me when I specifically booked the service with the deal on the mind odd booking system. I use to love coming here but now it seems overpriced, not trustworthy, and the product has had two mishaps. I honestly didn’t have time to go in the first week to get it fixed not that I got a response. But I also had my birthday so it was just upsetting experience. Won’t be going back

I got an acrylic set done by Maya just over a month ago and they're still perfect; no chips, no scratches, shape is good. Obviously they're grown out a lot, but considering how long they are it's impressive that they've managed to stay on and not break for this period of time. My job requires me to be typing all day and I'm definitely not gentle with my nails, but I haven't had a problem doing my everyday tasks with them and they're still in perfect shape regardless. Maya is very detail-oriented and her work is clean. I have a hard time finding people to do the shape that I like and eventually I just gave up because nobody could do it properly. Maya executed it perfectly with no instruction and I could tell she was very experienced. The only suggestion I would have is for this location to make more colour samples; it seemed like there was only one giant set that was being passed around among all of the clients in the room and it was kind of hard to take turns with it. However, that is minor and everything else was great so I would definitely recommend! Picture shows my nails right after getting them done by Maya.

Please Dont Go!!!! I had gone in on a last minute appoitment - my regular nail technician was not available for another week - I have an event coming up so I had decided to take a chance on another salon.... which brought me to this salon in Yaletown.... wow. All can say is that I am in so much pain Right now.. :* (

One of my nails have lifted and it was painful so was prepared to endure a little bit of pain. I will say I did leave my nails for 4 weeks as I know I shouldn't have! Anyways this girl is Iranian and has a (DRY) sense of humuor as she had stated that she is not like the 'typical nail tech' and speaks English - if u catch my drift.. She was on the phone the whole time talking to her mom and cut me while answering on the corner of my left thumbnail. BUT what hurt the most (and I am very upset with myself for doing this) My left hand ring finger had the terrible lift and we needed to take it off. She had buffed it down halfway and started to take a dull tool to lift it off. It hurt so bad... I literally took her little small cutter to cut most of the lifted nail off. She gave me her dull tool and told me to rip it off myself. She said she would rather me do it so I wouldn't get mad at her. I have never had to rip a nail myself - off and deep down inside I knew what would happen. It is my fault for listening to her - but I did. I took the dull tool and quickly tried to scrape the remainder of the nail off. (So ya - little my fault as I am new to this nail thing) My whole nail bed came off F* it hurt so bad I felt like I was going to pass out. Nearly did. She was rude the remainder of the time my girlfriend had gotten a predicure and came up just after.. she also had said (via txt) she was very rude to me. Went downstairs whispering to the receptionist giving dirty looks. I asked her how long it would take to heal, as she said dismissively 2 Months. Um, ok. I was thinking Thanks B* She even offered me adavan??!!

Please I would advise any lady to not endure this pain. Do not go here. Already has only 3star rating and I should have known better.

P.S. They call themselves Bling Nail Studio - They have little to NO Bling.... lol OuchiE for me 2months I guess :/ PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN : suggest a good salon & tech in the...

Stay far away from this place. I booked my appointment for a manicure/pedicure online and went in, where they told me no one could help me because some of my nails still had a bit of an acrylic tip and the lady didn't know how to work with acrylics. I explained to her I just wanted a colour change, and not a fill but they refused and re-booked it for the following day. I still went back, my mistake, and had a girl do the pedicure first. There was no massage, and the nails on my toes weren't even straight. After pointing it out, she did straighten them. Then she started trying to do my hands while I was still sitting in the pedicure chair and my feet were done. There were numerous tables available. Eventually, she brought me upstairs, where there was no one, to do my hands. She didn't cut the cuticles, clean the nails, or do anything but change the colour. Again, when I pointed this out, she started doing them. She was on the phone with her boyfriend, the entire time. Complaining how she hadn't eaten all day, and that she would be there in 5 minutes ... the colour wasn't even applied to my nails let alone the icing I asked for. When she started the icing, I asked her, many times, if she can guarantee they won't fall out. I had my wedding the next day. She groaned and rolled her eyes and said they would. The following day, almost all of the stones (which they call Swarovski) fell out. On my wedding day. I had pre-booked an appointment for the symbolic celebration wedding, with the same girl, not knowing, and changed it when leaving. Five minutes later, they called me, not leaving a message. After calling them back, they wanted to change the appointment. I decided maybe It was just the girl I got, and agreed. I tried to book another appointment to book the broken stones the following day which they accepted, at no charge, but then called again, a few minutes later to change it. I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and organization of what looks to be a beautiful place. Sometimes, what you pay for is not what you get....
