NEVER going here again. Management and staff are SO rude. My first time coming here and I came half an hour early to be the first to purchase tickets and reserve seats. The cashier lady told me after purchasing my tickets that i have to wait until the previous movie is done before going in to sit. There is only one theatre room so the previous movie finished and i went in and sat down. I had to come back out to give my ticket to my boyfriend and one of the staff told me we can't go back in and have to line up outside. Apparently, if you purchase tickets you have to line up in a separate line outside. The lineup was 100 people!!!! They wanted us to go to the very back even though they knew i had come first. And they were the ones who didn't tell me where I should have gone. Anyway, the manager also didn't do anything. And when i went to use the bathroom, I was scolded by the staff girl about where i was going..like i was a kid or something.
We walked out and didn't even go to the movie. I get there needs to be a line up- but explain that to people! And you knew that i was there waiting by myself for half an hour before anyone else came....

I wanted to buy a drink combo, find out they don't have bottled soft drinks, only water and vitamin water. Whatever I buy a fountain drink. We go inside the theatre, the seats are nearly impossible to find. The movie has already playing, so it was dark in the theatre. I couldn't find a staff to help me find my seat. I manually counted the rows and finally get to my seat, to find another couple sitting there. I couldn't even fault them, because couple B is in THEIR seat. Couple B told them the staff told them to sit there, after their own seats had been taken. I imagine the original culprits had a hard time finding seats too. This how they're running the Theatre. During covid. I can't speak for other cineplex but this location should honestly just close down. All in all a poor movie...
Read moreThe Park is a cozy theater just off Queen Elizabeth Park that has been around for as long as I can remember. Unlike multiplex theatres the incline of the seats is gradual, as it once was in all theatres, as opposed to precipitously steep resulting in only a few coveted centre seats offering a clear undistorted view. Most of the seats at The Park offer a good view. Also the screen ratio is suitably proportioned for the wider anamorphic 2.35:1 as opposed to the conventional cropped 1.85:1: the dimensions of multiplex screens and your TV. The seats, which used to be the most uncomfortable in town, have been replaced by ones very comfortable. The swinging doors to the theater itself add a nice touch of character. The theater opened in 1941 which makes it one of Vancouver's oldest surviving continually operating movie houses. True the concession is cramped, if it is busy, so suggest eating beforehand or...
