We recently had the pleasure of embarking on a journey aboard Aqualuna, a stunning sailing ship, for a sunset cruise. As we arrived at 17:30, we were immediately captivated by the beauty of the vessel. With its iconic red sails and the added touch of a Halloween theme, Aqualuna exuded an air of mystery and excitement.
The ship itself, a traditional Chinese junk boat, was a sight to behold. Its elegant design combined with the Halloween decorations created a unique and enchanting ambiance. We couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation as we stepped aboard and prepared to set sail into the tranquil waters.
The sunset cruise on Aqualuna was nothing short of magical. As we glided across the water, the golden hues of the setting sun bathed the surroundings in a warm and ethereal glow. It was a feast for the senses, with the gentle sound of the waves and the cool breeze against our faces enhancing the serene atmosphere.
The crew of Aqualuna deserves special mention for their professionalism and hospitality. Throughout the cruise, they provided excellent service, ensuring that all passengers were comfortable and well taken care of. Their knowledge of the area and the ship's history added an extra layer of depth to the experience.
As the sun descended below the horizon, the Halloween theme added an extra touch of excitement. The ship was tastefully decorated with spooky elements, creating a fun and festive vibe. It was indeed a unique way to celebrate the season while enjoying the beauty of the sea.
The sunset cruise on Aqualuna was truly a memorable experience. The combination of the breathtaking views, the elegant ship, and the Halloween-themed decorations created an enchanting atmosphere that left a lasting impression.
We highly recommend taking a journey on Aqualuna to anyone seeking a unique and delightful adventure. Whether you're a visitor or a resident of the area, this sailing ship offers a wonderful opportunity to relax, unwind, and witness the beauty of a sunset at sea.
Thank you, Aqualuna, for providing us with an unforgettable experience on your mesmerizing red-sail Chinese junk boat. We look forward to sailing with you again...
Read moreWhen Dimsum meets Aqua Luna - Afternoon tea cruise on Victoria Harbour
Aqua Luna, one of the iconic cruises of Hong Kong, named after the great former pirate "Cheung Po" from the 1800s, is a highly-recommended activity if you happen to be in Hong Kong.
The cruise itself takes around 90 minutes, a round trip from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier to Junk Bay. Our afternoon-tea cruise was from 330pm to 5pm, and there is another round of sunset cruise which starts from 530pm.
With the soothing weather in November, the cruise itself was rather comfortable. The afternoon tea set is produced by the well-known Dimsum Library; the savory bites and dimsum are up to the standard and even served warm with an open air and windy conditions on the cruise.
However, the sweet dessert is not as delicious as the dimsum; well, I can understand that sweet dessert isn't a strong side for Dimsum Library. Would prefer to have all Dimsum on board if possible.
Due to the bumpy ride and table setting restrictions, it's a pity we can't have classy New Bone China plates and silverware setup for the afternoon tea; you can't order your usual English tea or coffee (Hot tea is available in a thermal mug to avoid spillage).
Enjoy the cruise and the food much, looking forward to more afternoon tea options and experiences offered.

Read moreSunset cruise 1845 on the 30th of September.
First of all, while paying a premium for the sunset.. the sun was long gone.
Secondly, the 1830 cruise was stacked full, but the 1845 had plenty of spaces to choose from where to sit.
The drink menu was acceptable, wet quite limited. The free drink included in the price was ok, though nothing extravagant.
Main complaint is that no where during the booking process did it mention that the boarding and deboarding where at different locations. When asking a member of thr crew their answer was, you can get off where you got on, no problem. Was then told by a person with a clipboard I had to get off at the other side of the harbour and could not stay for the 2 minute crossing to the other side.
The cruise was enjoyable and I would recommend it for a view of the skyline, do however make sure to get a nice cheap option and not to pay extra for anything. The 1830 trip was out and about just short of an hour. Because there was some problem with a couple boarding we departed 5 mins later than usual i.e. 1855 (all the boats I saw were always delayed 5 mins on average due to poor quality boarding). And had a cruise time of about 35 mins total because the last stint was done full power across the harbour to get us off and board the next clients (much more in number due to...
