One of the interesting things to see along the Bowen Road fitness trail is the famous Lover's Rock. This is a 9-metre tall granite monolith that is believed to be an energy source for providing happy marriage to those who worship the at the giant boulder.
You will find Lover's Rock up a zigzag staircase around 20 metres above Bowen Road. You need to look for the silver plated sign and red coloured shrines on the hillside. Just walk up the staircase. You will first pass an ancient rock temple, keep going to the very top where the staircase ends. That is the Lover's Rock.

Warning for people who starts at Wan Chai Trail Head, there is a kilometre up hill as you can see in the last photo, if you put a treadmill on an incline at 15 then that’s about the steepness of this hill. Read moreThis attraction is just a religious place where people worship different Chinese gods. It is very smoky there and the environment is not pleasant. You have to be prepared to walk for about 30 stairs to the top. Elderly and infants are not recommended. If you really want to go there, go to the Bowen trail and when you pass through Shiu Fai Terrace, you will see a big red stone standing before you.
