Liffee Coffee & Treats — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

I visited this small cafe tucked away in the back alleys of the Stone Nullah section of Wan Chai on a Saturday morning. I got there a little after 10am, which I believe is the opening time, and the two employees were in the midst of opening the place up.

I ordered a flat white with an extra shot and a sourdough toast for takeaway. They let me know that the espresso machine was still warming up, so it would take a few more minutes than usual. No problem!

The extra strong coffee was exactly what I needed and wanted. The sourdough toast (with smoked salmon and scrambled egg toppings) was very good.

A very worthy addition to the coffee landscape...

The lemon cake was cold inside. I believe it has been in the freezer for a very long time. We asked them to heat it up again. It was warm but super dry. I recommend them not to sell it any more. We ordered avocado smoothie. It costs $78 but I totally can’t taste any avocado, not even one tiny piece, or just one little piece. Totally rip off. Btw, their friends/customers talk really loud and hurt my ears so badly. The place is small so the sound bounces inside and echo so badly to make it even louder. Location: Situated in a quaint neighbourhood with historic buildings and very little traffic. Beverage: ordered an extra hot ginger latte but it was luke warm and had zero ginger taste. Looked fancy but At $50 I can get a better drink somewhere else. Service: restroom was broken and was asked to use the government public toilet down the street. Pricing: on the high end… $48 for a cookie is a bit much even...
