I would recommend not coming to this program because the $200 per child fee for harvesting is really not worth the price. We came with five children and all were grade school ages and they were very excited as they thought they would be doing some planting and digging. The fee was supposed to include a detailed tour of the facility and also time for the planting or harvesting which is which is supposed to fill up an hour and a half of the afternoon. The tour we got of the aquarium lasted about 30 seconds the staff is very nice indeed but they basically talked about Nemo characters. I mean it it was very short and not much to it and. Then we moved on to the garden which is supposed to have a large amount of variety of plants but what we saw was mostly different types of basils and couple of Rosemarys some mints scattered across. Each child was given a basket, a pair of sharp gardening scissors and a silicone bag to gather the clippings and once a two minute discussion of the plants was done the tour guide left our children to just freely club the herbs. And at this point we still have about an hour and 15 minutes left of the time that we have purchased the program for. The scissors were too sharp and dangerous for smaller kids so we had to take them away. The kids had fun gathering the herbs mainly basals for about 30 minutes but for the rest of the time they grew quite bored so they proceeded to play as children do in the garden. Each of the three adults got a cup of tea with our $60 entrance fee and we had to ask for that from the staff as the staff was pretty hands off after our short tour. As we were trying to enjoy the tea and let the kids be, construction crew members came and roped up a small end of the garden. We didn’t say anything about that. The children were running and a bit and having fun and then immediately the staff group concerned that our children would disturb the construction staff and instructed us to stop the children from running in the garden. It was so rude of them to not think about the experience of the customers as we didn’t schedule the construction crew to the garden during our time. We had made our appointment a week in advance. We are really disappointed with thWith this experience and will not be duped to spend so much money again at any K 11 organized activities...
Read moreA lovely peaceful place to sit and sip tea particularly in winter. With the doors open to the garden and to be able to have tea. A rare break from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. Although to sit in the garden and have tea it’s currently $60 HKD. But I guess this to help fund the garden During the week is the quietest and best time to see the small roof top garden at K11SEA Wheelchair and stroller accessible as well...
