A group of us (11 people) were at Grayhound Cafe for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We sat at two tables next to each other. The waiter didn't seem to note which table ordered which dish, as there were dishes for another table that kept sending to ours.
My main dish never came while the rest of my table had almost finished their food. Our sharing dish, seafood platter, didn't come either. We have to call the waiter and ask about it. The waiter brought out the ordering list and checked with us. This means they are afraid they probably missed ordering some dishes. Then I remembered, that when we placed our order, the waiter didn't double-check with the food ordered.
After checking, the waiter learned all the dishes we ordered are on the list. Instead of checking with the kitchen directly to ensure all the dishes were delivered, the staff checked with the customer first?
Five minutes later, my dish finally came. It's stir-fried pork with rice, which should be a simple dish and shouldn't take a half hour to come. So I guess the kitchen forgot about it. The stir-fried pork with rice is quite mediocre and not very flavorful. The seafood platter seems quite pricey with the amount of seafood provided. I got minor food poisoning later that night. I am not sure if it's related to the...
Read moreI have been to quite a few other Greyhound Cafes but this one at K11 MUSEA is definitely the most enjoyable one, with the captivating harbour view. Whether is it a date night with your significant other or a girls night out, the atmosphere is nice and classy. Moving on to the food, the Wok-Fried Manila Clams in Yellow Curry was so good, the clams were succulent and sizable. The yellow curry had the right thickness and a creamy body, goes perfect with plain rice or Roti. Whenever I go to a Thai restaurant, the Stir-Fried Morning Glory is a usual must order for me. The portion was decent and it wasn’t too spicy. For meat dish, we went with the Stone Grilled Wagyu Beef. for this one, I would highly recommend going with medium or medium-rare as the heat from the stone will do a little bit more. One could smell the wagyu beef aroma as it sizzles on the stone and if you are a shrooms lover, this dish is perfect as it came with a generous amount of assorted shrooms. Lastly for dessert, we had the Thai Tea Crepe Cake, and as the name suggests, one gets to drizzle milk tea flavored sauce all over the cake. I liked it in particular for its layered texture and the sauce wasn’t too sweet. Overall, whether is it the great food or cosy ambience, 5 thumbs up...
Read moreI had a rather unsettling experience at Greyhound Cafe in K11 Mall that I feel compelled to share. While waiting for our desserts after finishing our lunch, we couldn't help but notice an unexpected delay in service. To our dismay, we soon discovered the reason: a RAT scuttled across the restaurant floor and even made its way under our table. It was alarming to witness such a sight in a dining establishment, and it left us questioning the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the kitchen.
The staff seemed preoccupied, possibly dealing with the situation in the kitchen, which explained the extended wait for our desserts. However, the presence of a RAT in a RESTAURANT is simply UNACCEPTABLE and overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. We were left feeling uneasy and disappointed, and it’s hard to imagine returning to a place where such a SERIOUS issue exists.
I hope the management takes immediate action to address this problem for the sake of their customers' health and comfort, me & my family are flying back today & I pray we do not fall sick because of...
