I stayed in Ramada HarbourView at early Feb 2022, 14 days quarantine time flied by, thanks to the hotel’s amazing service. The hotel really provided amazing service and really got underrated here, really wanna speak up for the hotel, for all teams, every staff who work very hard. I’ve re-read all those comments after the stay, some of them are true, and then i realized the hotel had constantly improving during these period, which really deserved a thumbs up. Highlights - good side 1. unbeatable seaview 2. strong air conditioner 3. steady hot shower water supply 4. 3 meals a day, quite balance diet 5. staff are nice, top level hospitality 6. not small, space for yoga mat bad side 1. toilet bowl position 2. unnecessary bath tub 3. only one shallow sink 4. carpet cleanliness 5. bed sheet cleanliness Service: 5 stars every team give their best, given that i was paying ~600hkd /night, what i get is definitely worth. i once called for 1 more toilet roll, they gave me a few more, plus some boxes of facial tissue. and there one time i called for special dietary request, they even call back few hours later to follow up. friends send over stuff to me, and it deliver to me right away, never over 10mins. its about their passion, the care about guests, also the attention to details that worth the 5 stars. Room status: 3.5 stars lucky to be arranged a higher floor, amazing sea view, with big window, i dont feel like staying in shoe box. window can be open a little to get some fresh air from the world outside. decent room size in HK standard, given 600hkd per night, room to put yoga mat. only thing is the hotel is not new, damages here and there, but really very mile. the hotel is trying hard to maintain it in its best form. *bit hesitated of the patterned carpet, i just avoid stepping on it bare foot. *spots on the white bed sheet, i found them covering with correction pen, this is why points deducted here too. Food: 4.5 stars 3 meals a day, very on time every day, i am mostly happy with what they offer, and i never order any delivery. i am very concern about what to put into my stomach, and keeping a healthier eating style. their meals contains carbs, protein, and fiber, that’s what i need. yea they repeat sometimes, and yea the protein are mostly chicken, and yea sometimes the meat are over cooked, spaghetti are not al dente, but for me, that’s what 600HKD offered. you wont expected 3 star michelin Forum restaurant food from their meal box right. 0.5 pt down as there’s too much carbs that so fulfilling, i wont to have less, but they cant change as meal box are pre-prepared. but they have veggie i mean choices for whom they have religious / health request. *just remember one more thing, i guess this happens only on winter, coz their air conditioner is too strong, and the weather is cold and humid, only one blanket isnt enough thru the night, i ask for extra quilt or bedding, they said they will just gave me “old” one, i guess they mean not brand new, as the brand new one cost 100HKD. interesting. anyway, overall a very very nice 14 days quarantine experience.

Ramada's unfortunate representation in this particular establishment left me astounded and disheartened. Despite not expecting luxurious accommodations, the exorbitant price I paid for a five-day stay in this rundown ghetto was utterly unjustifiable. While Ramada may not be known for its prestigious standing, one would at least anticipate a basic level of hygiene and maintenance, which this establishment sorely lacked. This dilapidated building barely served its purpose as a shelter for a good night's sleep. It baffles me that Ramada, a reputed hotel chain, would allow such a property to operate under its name without proper monitoring and oversight. How this extremely rundown complex managed to secure authorization as a quarantine hotel in Hong Kong is a question that perplexes me greatly. The presence of dusty and mold-infested air purifiers in the room only added to the distressing experience. These neglected devices served as breeding grounds for germs, completely undermining any semblance of cleanliness. Unable to endure the layers of dirt and dust on the purifier's cover any longer, I resorted to the extreme measure of uncovering and rinsing it under cleaning water to prevent inhaling the room's accumulated particles. The experience of taking a shower behind a rusty curtain and dealing with molded fabrics in this Ramada-affiliated establishment is truly an unfortunate one. The lack of basic hygiene standards not only falls far below what is expected of a Ramada hotel but also poses potential hazards. The narrow gap of less than 1.5 feet between the toilet and bathtub is a perilous setup, especially for elderly individuals who may easily trip and injure themselves after showering. To compound the discomfort, the toilet door remains permanently hidden within its pocket, leading to an unpleasant situation where roommates are subjected to inhaling unpleasant odors while someone else is attending to their personal business. It is quite disheartening to note that even certain developing countries prioritize and respect people's privacy more than this particular accommodation. Ironically, this dwelling seems to encourage couples to seek out full privacy elsewhere, as it offers a stronger incentive than any search engine ever could. In essence, my stay at this Ramada-affiliated establishment was a disheartening and unhygienic ordeal. It is my sincere hope that Ramada acknowledges and rectifies the dire conditions of this property, assuming it holds any responsibility over its operation in Hong Kong.

This hotel is so bad it’s funny… I seriously had a laughing fit when I entered the room. In my case, I had no choice but to come here since it was the only hotel available for the mandatory quarantine (one wonders why…). But hey, fans of “The Grand Budapest Hotel” might actually enjoy the places rustic and unclean charms. As you enter the room, a basin welcomes you to your right. Not inside the bathroom, outside. Which is very practical when you come to think of it, as your partner can uncomfortably drop the kids off at the pool while you wash your nose. On the left, a dwarf-sized bathroom welcomes you. You’ll need to ride the toilet side-saddle in order to fit. The towels have clearly accompanied many other guests as well, which the various yellow and red stains happily attest too (a free souvenir, no extra cost!). Now before you step into the actual room, two fancy mirrors look back at you in the wall. And one step further. Tadaaaa. The dream of every Indian princess. The Grand Budapest Hotel’s royal wallpapers cover 2/4 walls. (As it’s understandable such luxury had to be mitigated, thus the half painted white cream colored walls that make up the other half of the room). And high above you, a glorious plastic chandelier lights up the room and hey! Gold glossy curtains, whose odor offers again many memories of past adventures. You’ll also be pleased to find yet another mirror miladies!!! All complete with a bedside table which, how practical of them, has a safe in it - lest your matching upholstery should be stolen in the quarantine. This piece would yet again be worthy of a Wes Anderson movie. Now, my two absolute favorites: The room was cleaned with such love and care that staff could not help but leave little black hairs in the room for us to be reminded of their lovely craft. How dreamy. And last but not least, the super opulent menu. I thought I should just post pictures for I lack the words to describe such a masterpiece. FYI the photos are not doubled up - lunch is the same as dinner, so you can relive the experience again. And it’s not a black and white picture. The white tonality of the food is strictly For aesthetic purposes again I’m sure. A movie setting within your grasp, all for a modest HKD 800 a night. What a steal!

When my partner booked this hotel for our stay in Hong Kong I was really looking forward to a bit of luxury that you might associate with the Ramada brand. How disappointed I was when we arrived! The ground floor is mostly occupied by some weird, uninviting loading bay. There’s a lot of gold tiling if you like that sort of thing. We tried to book in early but were told computer says no so we left our cases in the loading bay (note this is open to the street so I was a bit worried that anyone could walk in and take the cases if the security guards were distracted). We came back at the allotted 2pm check in time. The lobby is on the 5th floor and there’s only 4 lifts so there was a bit of a wait at times. Like 80% of guests we didn’t have a harbour view room but no issue with that. The rooms themselves are cleanish but very neglected. The walls could do with a paint (coffee stains running down the wall). Whoever put the silicone sealant around the sink is an amateur! There was a chandelier type light with one bulb missing and some cobwebs. A tiny wall mounted TV is provided (must be 20 years old) but it does have lots of international channels. On another positive note there’s a kettle with tea and coffee provided. The bathroom is ok but some mould on the tiles (bleach anyone?) and the plug had lots of stuff partially blocking it. The towels were threadbare with holes and some stains. The location is great - 2 mins to MTR station and the airport buses stop nearby. This place could be great with a bit of TLC. Definitely not 4 star.

It is ok to get by for 1 night with very few baggage (eg. a backpack -- which I put on top of the unused bed). There is no space on the floor for anyone to open luggages, so beware of this when choosing hotels. Room size -- Small. Room has 2 beds, a window sill placing water bottles, paper cups, a kettle, a small safe, and phone. There is a long narrow bench under the wall TV for putting items. Electric sockets are under it near the floor. I have a long phone charging wire (2m) so that let me be able to use my phone from bed while it's charged. Bed -- Clean. Comfortable to sleep. The room is cold though. I had to get up at night to put an additional layer of mid-sleeve shirt on, otherwise it'd be too cold to sleep. Bathroom -- Tiny. There is a bunch of hair (from last guest) seen on the shower rack when I check in. Called housekeeping and they came in 20 min. Basin is tiny for washing face, so one cant avoid not splashing water on to the floor when washing face. Must put the floor towel on the floor there first before using the tap & basin. Little space on/around basin to put anything. Shower also barely essential size. Towels do not absorb water too well. Wardrobe -- None, but there are 2 multi hooks on the wall for hanging clothes. View from room -- Did not check. Curtais were all over the windows when i check in, and I did not dare open the curtains, to avoid shaking off dust. View after stepping off lift om my floor looks good though.

I've stayed twice here as they were the cheapest accommodation in the area. First time for 4 nights in August and second stay for 6 nights in September. The stays were ok. Pricing is generally pretty good but the rooms are pretty small, so you get what you pay for. IMO still better and cheaper than some capsule hotel options. If you take the airport express, there is a free hotel shuttle from the station. There are also plenty of public transport options nearby. Sai Ying Pun MTR station entrances are nearby, tram stops are nearby, and there are various bus services nearby. On my second stay, there seemed to be some residual smoke smell in the room I was given. I asked to change room and they moved me to a non-smoking floor but the new room still had a residual smoke smell when walking through the door. It does appear to go away after the aircon is run for a little while. Hotel WiFi is also particularly slow, and sometimes even slow enough that my laptop/devices say there's no internet connection. The rooftop pool is quite nice for a dip but is too small if you want to do laps. They have extra towels where the life guard sits so you don't need to bring a towel from your room up. Did not eat at the restaurant as there are plenty of options nearby. Overall the experience was ok. I would still recommend staying here as they are generally one of the cheapest options in the area.
