1/5, would AVOID. Stay in Ritz Pudong / Banyan Tree bund / newly opened Regent for better experience. My recent stay was far below expectations. Here are the specific issues I encountered: 1. Lack of Pillow Delivery: I requested additional pillows, but they were never delivered to my room, causing discomfort during my stay. 2. Delayed and Inadequate Blanket Delivery: When I requested a blanket, it was delivered 25-30 minutes later, and the blanket provided was a torn linen, which is unacceptable for a hotel of Conrad's reputation. 3. Room Cleanliness Issues: Upon checking in, I found hair on the floor of my room, indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. 4. Rude Attitude at Check-In: The staff member at check-in exhibited a rude attitude. When I inquired about potential upgrades, she curtly informed me that upgrades are typically reserved for Diamond members, with no consideration for my Gold status. Additionally, there was no walkthrough of breakfast details, including time and location, despite my breakfast being included in the reservation. 5. Turndown Service Not Performed: I requested turndown service, but it was not performed. Instead, a staff member entered the room, left two towels on a chair along with two water bottles, and left without performing any turndown service. 6. Uninformed Concierge Service: When I called the front desk to ask for concierge service, the staff member claimed the hotel does not offer such a service and brushed off my request. I had to come down to the lobby myself to verify. 7. Incompetent Check-Out Process: The check-out process was excessively slow, taking 20 minutes despite there being only two other guests in line. The staff appeared slow and incompetent, further prolonging the process. 8. Poor Restaurant Service: At one of the Mediterranean restaurants, my steak was overcooked. The inattentive staff did not check in on how the food was, nor did they come by the table after serving, leaving me unable to raise my concerns.

The hotel is located in a good tourist area with a lot of stores and restaurants! The rooms are luxurious and clean with a beautiful view of the city. Good service and good breakfast with so many options.

Fantastic location on the thickness everything. Very close to the Bund and easy access to many of the key tourist sites and shopping. Check on was a little laborious, but overall staff were helpful. The rooms weren't quite what you'd expect from a Conrad, but overall very comfortable

Attention: the location on Google maps is wrong, the correct location is when you search by Le Meriden Shanghai (east of People's Square). The location is amazing, next to many shopping malls, pedestrian Nanjing road, the underground line 2 going to Pudong airport, 15-20 min walk from the Bundt. The cleanliness must be improved, i had someone fake eyelash piece on the freshly cleaned bathroom mat. Not acceptable for 5 star hotel. The rooftop lounge Muse Penthouse was great fkr dinner with a singer and live music. Awesom views. The food was good too. They can't put the bill on your room as the venue is separate from the hotel. My Amex failed but Chase credit card worked.
