Morgan's Barber House is simply the place to go if you're looking for more than just a simple haircut or beard trim. From the moment you step in, you're immersed in a welcoming and professional atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

I opted for the flagship service, the famous Ritual Morgans, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny of its slightly higher price. This treatment not only significantly improved the appearance of my face but also left me completely relaxed. The meticulous step-by-step ensures that every aspect of your skin and hair receives the attention it deserves, and the result is simply impeccable.

In addition to the exceptional service, I loved the fact that they offered you a variety of beverages to accompany your experience. From a refreshing water to a cold beer or even a little whiskey for those looking for a special touch, the Morgan's team really knows how to pamper their customers.

Communication was not a problem at all, as the administrators speak English fluently and the barbers, although their language skills could use a bit of improvement, do their best to understand you and provide you with the best possible service.

Speaking of the haircut itself, I can confidently say that it is of the highest quality. The barbers here take the time necessary to ensure that every detail is perfectly aligned, and that you walk out looking impeccable. Additionally, the beard trim is simply flawless, and the fact that they also offer washing and drying services is a great plus.

Furthermore, Morgan's Barber House offers more than just barber services. They have options for tattoos, relaxing massages, and even a little bar area where the tattoo artist seems quite talented. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I didn't have the chance to experience the relaxing massage service, but judging by the overall atmosphere and attention to detail in other services, I have no doubt it's top-notch as well.

Pros: The barbershop itself is in a great area and it is spacious. It is well lit and the space is properly cooled. Once you walk-in, you are greeted with smiles and great customer service. The service I was received was excellent and my barber Alexander did a great job.

Cons: I blame myself for not asking for the price prior to sitting in the chair. I received a haircut, 1/2 guard; mustache and beard shape, and razor shave. I also got the face mask. With that being said, once I received the invoice, I was quite shocked and the price, 230.000 COP! I then asked the attendant to show me the prices for the services. And to my surprise, it was a catalog with US prices. Like I stated before, I fault myself for not asking for the prices before sitting in the chair and I did receive the service and I couldn’t argue too much since services was rendered. To put context to this, I get the same service in Medellín, Barranquilla, and other barbershops in Cartagena of similar quality for 25%-30% less than what Morgan’s charges. There is no way that there should be this much of a markup. Even a basic haircut with clippers for 1/2 guard is ~$15 USD!

The place is exceptionally clean and clearly run by a well-coordinated team. As a Black traveler unfamiliar with the language, I was initially unsure about getting a haircut in Cartagena, especially since I’ve had the same barber for over a decade. But Robert made me feel at ease right away and understood exactly what I wanted, even with my limited Spanish.

A staff member offered me a bottle of water (not complimentary, but much appreciated given the heat, it felt like they could tell I was melting!). She also mentioned their pedicure services, which I initially declined. However, the quality of service was so impressive that I encouraged my wife to return later for a pedicure.
