Restaurante Kiré — Restaurant in Monteverde

During our trip to Costa Rica, we stayed at several higher-end resorts. Koora Hotel delivered our best hotel experience ever, on any trip, and hosts the best waiter we’ve ever had, Diego at their restaurant, Kire.

And the dining experience at Kire was extraordinary. Every single bite, across our six meals, was absolutely delicious. The views were amazing.

Diego’s dedication to exceeding our expectations was truly remarkable. He offered to take pictures and slow-mo videos of us, set us up with marshmallows on sticks for the fire, chased after us when we were leaving for an excursion to give us apples to snack on, and, upon departure, left us a complimentary package of the granola we loved. His enthusiasm and genuine desire to make our stay unforgettable were evident in every interaction.

Further, we saw multiple animals in the rainforest and crossing the premises. A family of 8 monkeys swung through the trees at multiple times during each day, leaving us with excellent photo opportunities.

Delicious, safe and accommodating for celiac and other allergies like alpha gal (dairy and mammal). We ate here several times - 5 people with 3 allergies. We stayed at the attached Hotel Koora which was wonderful.

They have several menus - breakfast, tapas, pool, lunch and dinner. We ate off all of them safely.

Had amazing breakfast every day. They went out of their way to get gluten free bread for French toast and oat milk for dairy free coffees. We asked and they were happy to cook eggs, plantains, etc in a separate clean pan instead of flat top grill. Gallo pinto was great - served with fresh fruit, avocado, rice and beans.

Gluten free cheesecake with red berries was the best we’ve ever had - gluten free or not. The mariscada was so good - like a light yellow curry paella with mussels, shrimp, fish, and crab. For pool snacks, they double checked that the packaged tortilla chips and plantain chips were gluten free to go with fresh guac and pico.

I went to Kire for my birthday dinner, and they made sure to make it a memorable night. Cocktails were amazing, and food was top-notch! Everything was very flavourful, elegant, and honest!

On top of it, hospitality was outstanding - I've never had such an excellent service before, and I truly appreciate it as I've been in the hospitality industry. We wanted to thank Luis, Diego, and the whole Kire team for making it a warm, unforgetable dinner night for us! We truly appreciate the attention to our whole dinning experience. Thank you!
