Even as a student with a cheaper ticket price, I would still not want anyone to come here. As some other reviewers said, this place has quantity over quality. There is sooooo many of the same trains running around, the same diesels and electric models as well as the wagons and all the other models are in train houses. There are a few layouts including the big one at the bottom floor but they all seem the same to me in terms of how they look. There is such a huge lack in creativity. None of the cars drive on the roads except for like a couple of trucks. You have to constantly wait for trains to move because of the traffic system and on the subject of that, WHY DO THEY HAVE TO RUN ON THE SAME TRACKS??? There is some really weird lego layout that is just really ugly, mixes the children legos with big kid legos. And there is a big section of toys on displays that makes no sense what so ever to be in a RAILWAY KINGDOM. There are interactive buttons, half of which don't work, that really only make the tiny people move or have some object do something that you wouldn't notice. Back to the layouts, they just look so dirty and not taken care of. They don't really seem to have much effort worked on them to see how fascinating the details are. All I can remember is how plainly green it all looks. No room for creativity, just green, some cities with little to nothing happening and the same trains roaming about. The only good I can say is that there are a few details that can catch your attention. Plus if you go on their "Tram Simulator" (You don't really get to drive it) you can play with the buttons so the actually doors open and close, and use the bell and stuff. But that's all I...

This rail museum is a very entertaining and educational place to bring your children (grown-ups who like history would enjoy it even more). It is actually underground, spanning two levels so you even get a feel of being in a subway.

The price of entry is a bit steep, as well as the food and drinks upstairs, but that is to be expected since it's Prague.

The depiction of Prague - and other cities in the Czech Republic - in the models is very close to real life and some buildings are replicated precisely. One could explore the nooks & crannies of all the models for hours. And they are being continuously updated by the staff here.

There are many stations with buttons so kids (and grown ups) can have fun with interactive play. There are also a couple of tracks for racing little cars, unfortunately, not all cars work or run.

The children love the little model trains running throughout the entire track. Also check out the interactive tramway with real-time screens. There is always a crowd there.

There are also old cabins from decades ago (even the very first Prague metro car with old analog controls in the cafeteria). Seating is scattered throughout the place with train-themed chairs. Very cool! 🚈🚝🚄🚂🚋🚉

In summary, there is tons to see here so come early in the day if you want your money's worth. This place definitely warrants a more than once visit...if only they could make it more affordable...

I used to go there quite often with my son but now I got surprised how expensive got and the quality got low. 400 czk for adults and kids above 1 m height. They don’t have discount for disable people or elders. If you want to go to the ground floor (-1) there is not elevators or some machines that can help you to get down to the other part of the museum. Also there were building a new map or it was under construction (image attached), some of the buttons didn’t work or make some noise and that’s all. Some of the activities like the cars racings, one of the cars didn’t work (video attached) and there was another cars racings but only 3 were working and the other didn’t have a car when it should be there one (image attached). The men toilets stinks really bad. The selection of food there is quite poor and with low quality, at least let the people go to eat outside and come back with the same ticket. I brought family from my hometown and we got quite dissatisfied/disappointed about the place, really it doesn’t deserve 400 czk for the ticket.
