Grosseto Anděl — Restaurant in Prague

We visited the place 12.02.25 at 17:00 with a friend and were initially told by the hostess that we could have a table for one hour. After 55 minutes, a staff member came over and abruptly told us we had to leave—despite my friend still having a nearly full drink. My friend calmly mentioned that we still had five minutes and left quietly.

As we were waiting for the check (which took another 10 minutes), an extremely rude waiter—who turned out to be the manager—came over in a very aggressive manner, practically towering over us and demanding that we leave immediately. His tone and attitude were completely unprofessional, with zero customer service skills.

We are not Czech, but we spoke Czech with the staff. Considering the number of bad reviews from foreigners mentioning poor service, it seems like they have an issue with non-Czech guests. This was an incredibly unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a...

Great food, average prices. But I was strained by the staff from the very threshold. To my question "mozhno vipit Kavu?" The person working in the server completely refused to understand what it was. And he expressed his dissatisfaction right from the threshold. Two hours ago, in the pharmacy, the girl explained in Czech - there were no problems at all. Indeed, "Kava" is very incomprehensible, especially in a restaurant... Cappuccino was brought much earlier than dessert - either wait for dessert and drink cold coffee or choke on dessert in dry food. The staff is kind of unhealthy, despite the fact that the hall is almost empty. And what's more, they were talking as an look. The food is not bad, but I wasn't in the mood to take pictures anymore. The only desire was to leave quickly. It seems to me that a person comes not only for food and drinks, but also for the atmosphere. I felt terrible - like I was spit. I've never seen such an attitude...

I went with my boyfriend and another couple to Grosseto Pizzaria and we had a fantastic experience there. I have to give a special shoutout to Catarina for making our visit truly special. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and an incredibly friendly attitude. Catarina was not only attentive and professional, but genuinely sweet.

She went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed, checked in at just the right times, and her positive energy added so much to our evening. It’s rare to come across service that feels this personal and sincere.

On top of the excellent service, the pizza was absolutely delicious – fresh ingredients, perfectly baked crust, and great variety on the menu.
