Sushi Plaza — Restaurant in Tallinn

We’ve been to this place about ten times, not even counting the times we ordered from it, and we have to say : the quality of service and food is getting poorer and poorer.

One of us has a very strong allergy to gluten, and because of this we asked the waiter to help us by telling us which sushi were gluten free and which were not (it took about ten minutes). Well guess what ! He was wrong and the person with the allergy almost didn’t sleep and was very sick all night.

The same waiter forgot something in the order and that was just the best part... yes it was a big order, easily over 100€. But three waiters coming, in turns, to ask us again and again what was wrong and what was missing?!?! Really?!?! All saying that they would tell the kitchen to make some more ASAP. They were not even saying “ sorry for the inconvenient “. It felt more like “ we don’t believe you, so we will check again and again that you are not lying “. So now, not even mentioning the fact that we waited for one hour to get the food, we had to wait some more to get the five sushi missing... well we never got them. We waited 30 more minutes and decided that was enough.. spent over 2 hours.

Such a bad experience !!!!! We used to only swear by sushi plaza and would recommend it to everyone we know....

I would like to recommend this place for all the sushi lovers as Tallinn really lacks the variety of places to go when it comes to eating some proper sushi. The atmosphere is quite lively near the cashier and in the kitchen with kitchen workers dropping jokes all the time though it is calm and relaxing in the cornered places where customers can sit. The prices are average for our city and if you don't need a whole menu on your table it will only cost you 5 to 15 euros depending on your tastes. Quality and taste are also worth mentioning as for the average price you get some nice rolled sushi's with a distinct taste for every position in menu, fish is also good looking and fresh. One negative thing to point out is the service as even though workers are very friendly and polite it is sometimes hard to draw attention to yourself and get the menu or the receipt. As for the rating overall, I consider this place 4.5 out of 5 stars only due to...

This is one of the top places I've ever visited for sushi.

We came for lunch after a long day of traveling, extremely tired as we did not sleep the night, and very hungry. The owner/manager welcomed us with the warmest smile, accommodated us, and helped us with the order. She even informed us how long we'd need to wait in order to get served. For two people we ordered a sushi platter of 40 pieces, because we thought we will manage to finish it easily. Well, we barely managed to finish half of it - the sushi pieces were really big! And extremely tasty! We took what we had left with us, and it was nicely packed in a box with ginger and wasabi. We loved it so much, that we came again for ramen during our stay and still had the same warm welcome. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed ❤️
