Modest, beautiful and peaceful Cathedral. Gorgeous and interesting Stained glass windows. St. Henry's Cathedral dedicated to Henry, 12th- century Bishop of Finland. The Church was designed by architect Ernst Lohrmann. It was constructed between 1858-1860, primary to serve Russian Catholis in the army as well as Catholic merchants.

Beautiful icon of gold at the side chapel really worth to visit. People are very nice. My teenage boy who is a pianist is allowed and guided to touch the organ the very first time in his life!! Not a big Roman Catholic Cathedral as in other countries of Europe, this is Finland.

My first visit, attended English Sunday Mass at 9.30 am. The church was packed with people which was pleasantly surprising. After mass they serve free breakfast for the people. Beautiful grotto of Mother Mary behind the cathedral.
