Disappointing experience. I wish I read these honest 1-star reviews. First of all, the Jenga 500m tour I booked and paid in advance (in case it was sold out) was FALSELY advertised as 30 MINUTES for 30 EUR/adult and I thought it's a pretty cool price for a 30 min ride, compared to other other places... yeah, too good to be true! We got roughly 1-min/min and half on the dog sleigh (one lap, which may or may not have been 500m) for 30 EUR. Can you please not mislead people so badly?! Just write 500m lap 30EUR. Without the 30 mins nonsesne. At least, it was a private sleigh-ride, they don't force another group in the same sleigh with you, and the staff takes some pictures of you but only if you ask! Otherwise it's a basic "get in, get out" process.

The hugging area is 10 EUR/person (a woman begged to have her daughter let in for free which was somehow allowed, too after everyone else paid and got to witness this). You get to see 3 huskies running around, not caring at all, playing among themselves (which is understandable, based on the cages)! You can barely pet these dogs! They are neither friendly nor they are interested in pets. At all. I would go as far as they were SCARED of human contact! More like "hunt for a hug" area! I'm a big animal person, I always get insane pictures of/with animals and this experience was just so alien to me. Something isn't right. Dog lovers and animal people will understand.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend. Try a longer ride elsewhere and DO NOT go to the hugging area for zero experience - unless you can beg your way...

A Dream Come True - Unforgettable Husky Experience!

Visiting Lapland and a Husky Park had been on my bucket list for a long time, and I am beyond happy that this dream finally came true! The park is beautifully maintained, and the huskies are incredibly friendly and affectionate. You can tell they are well taken care of and love what they do. The staff was also very welcoming and professional, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The staff member told us that the optimal temperature for huskies is around -25°C. Therefore, more dogs were pulling the sled that day (-2), to prevent them from overheating and overexerting themselves.

One of my favorite parts was reading the descriptions of each husky - they were so creative and made me laugh out loud! We pre-booked the 2 km ride online for my birthday, which allowed us to skip waiting times. The sled ride itself was absolutely magical, and our musher was both skilled and kind, ensuring we had the best experience possible.

It's worth mentioning that my friend lost her phone in the sled, and the kind musher returned it to her between the rides :) Thank you!

After the ride, you can grab a bite at the Musher's Tavern, even in the form of a Husky pancake - so cute. I can also recommend the meatballs - absolutely delicious!

I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone - whether you're a dog lover, an adventure seeker, or simply looking for something unique. And if you happen to meet Zazu (my favorite Husky) in the park, please give him an extra pat from...

I loved the experience with the Huskies but they didn’t open 15 minutes before as they tell you when you are going to buy the tickets, 30€ per person is not cheap and it seems that they were in a hurry about everything, they gave us almost no food to feed the dogs and we had to wait until 13.01 to enter instead of 12.45 as told!!! The. They tell you please wait looking at the dogs for 15 minutes more but just looking at them and then they give you a very small tour that finishes in 15 minutes and finally you get inside with some huskies to feed and pet them but for only another 15 minutes, so the real experience lasts only 30 minutes but they charge you with the full price, so I wasn’t really happy with how they did it today Monday August 5th, 2024 at 13hrs! They said goodbye to us at 13.50hrs, we had another 10 minutes but they opened the door and said thanks for coming!!!!

After talking to Emilia, she was really nice and fair and sent us a refund for half of the total price that we paid, I think that this was a pretty good solution for us, since we only enjoyed 30 minutes, thanks a lot Emilia and we surely are coming back to see you again and I hope that this is sooner than later, best...

LAPLAND BUCKET LIST ✅✨ 📌 SAVE this for your trip to Finland 🇫🇮 Finland is full of fun activities, especially in the winter, and I’ve been lucky enough to try out a few during my trip so here are my top 8 😎 Hopefully this list inspires you to come have some winter fun in Finland 🥶👇🏻 1) Husky Sledding - this was so much fun, the huskies run so fast. We did this experience at arctic huskey park but you can enjoy rides all over Lapland. (Check out my story for reassurance if you have any worries about the ethics!) 2) Floating in the Baltic Sea - I mean not many people can say they have done this, it was so surreal! You are given ‘survival suits’ which allow you to float in the water and not get wet at all, it is crazy floating just surrounded by ice. 3) Sail on an ice breaker - we joined the Sampo cruise from Kemi, an old ship that is used to break through the sheets of ice that freeze over the sea. 4) Snow-shoeing - we did this with Sea Lapland Safari & it took us on the most beautiful walk through the snowy woods. 5) Snow Sauna - yep you read that right, at Arctic Snow Hotel they have a snow sauna, you can visit on a day trip or if you stay there. 6) Stroke a reindeer - there is no shortage of reindeers to give affection to in Lapland. One perk of Arctic SnowHotel is that they had two reindeers living there so we would go feed them each day. 7) Dine at an ice restaurant - this was an experience for sure, it was freezing but a unique thing to say we did. Arctic SnowHotel offer this as a day trip or whilst you are staying, there is a 3 course menu to enjoy & you can tour the Arctic Hotel. 8) Snow Train - we were lucky enough to be the first people to try this with Sea Lapland Safaris and it was so fun, it is a nice way to enjoy the frozen sea & forest but from the comfort of a warm carriage. Which one would you most like to try?😍👇🏻 #finland #lapland #arcticcircle #finlandhotel #visitfinland #travelfinland #northenlights #icehotel #bestairbnb #huskysledding #huskies #reindeers #visitlapland #icebreaker #sampo #kemi #rovaniemi #snowshoeing #frozensea #snowsauna #winteractivities #sheisnotlost #travelblogger
