We paid 159 euros for entrance and a 3 course meal. The food is poor, my veggie mum and daughters food was a quarter of a bowl of tepid tomato soup with no bread or anything, mine was a kids portion of cold penne bolognese, things should be made extra hot to compensate for the fact you’re in an ice restaurant, not sure how far away the kitchen is but it must be far, the waiter was nice but had no idea what the wine pairing was (25 euros extra per person which we ordered on arrival) so that just didn’t come at all. We had informed the restaurant of our allergies and these were not noted.
There is no atmosphere or vibe in the restaurant, it’s just a gimmick. If they added speakers with gentle music or even upbeat music it would be so much better. We would have enjoyed information about how the place is made and maintained but there was nothing around to read or see.
We were in and out of there within 30 mins of our reservation, the only thing you can’t find anywhere else is the tubing (not enough tubes and huge queues) and the ice bar - lack of control and no where to sit / lean as it’s packed with no one guiding anyone where to go, what to do. Honestly we feel scammed but I guess that this is just a tourist attraction, and some people, perhaps with little children, may have had the best time there. Adults or those with older children don’t put this on your Lapland to do list. One thing I did like, was I saw someone from management asking a waitress if any of their walk ways were too slippery, I found that to be good management and very caring. Our waiter was embarrassed that he (and he said no one else) knew how to serve the wine pairing. He was very nice and kind but sadly the one star is for the overall experience and to encourage other families to reconsider spending what we spent today
For the management, even though we are adults and perhaps this place isn’t aimed at us, you could have won raving fans today, despite already paying 159, we wanted to spend 75 more on wine and wanted to order 3 snowman hot chocolates so another 18, we wanted to have fun! We would have then stayed maybe and spent money on shots or whatever was being served at the disco, instead we left. You will have a constant queue of customers all season but you’re not going to maximize your profits unless something is done about the atmosphere / vibes and training. We hope it gets better for you as everyone settles in.

I paid €79 for a 3-course meal voucher at Snowman World Restaurant on December 25, 2024, and experienced the worst customer service of my life. I arrived at 5:30 pm and 5:45 pm but was told there were no tables available and asked to return at 7:00 pm. When I came back later, I was informed by a worker that the restaurant had closed and was directed to the front desk for help.
At the front desk, I encountered a short Asian woman who was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She told me my meal had been thrown away, the kitchen was cleaned, and there was nothing they could do. I asked for my food as takeaway, which was my right, but she refused outright.
When I tried to explain the situation, she rudely interrupted me, yelling, “IT’S CHRISTMAS! I DON’T TAKE DECISIONS, WAIT HERE!” before storming upstairs. After returning, she repeated the same dismissive statements, providing no resolution.
She tried every tactic to provoke and stress me out, bombarding me with ridiculous questions all at once, such as: • “When did you come here to the restaurant?” • “Open your bank statement.” • “What’s your email?” • “What did you book with us?”
She also demanded a medical certificate and suggested I contact travel insurance, both irrelevant and unreasonable. To top it off, she made a highly offensive remark, saying, “I have never seen a tourist like you!”
When I asked for her name, she refused, claiming it was “not allowed.” She also refused to provide the manager’s details, clearly avoiding accountability.
For €79, I received no meal, no solution, and was treated with utter disrespect. This was the most unprofessional and insulting experience I have ever had at a restaurant let alone a fine dining place. Avoid Snowman World Restaurant at all costs! It is not only overpriced but also a rip off, this staff member who was put at the front desk to talk to customers was absolutely rude, unreasonable, and dismissive! Save your time, money, and sanity!
And FYI, I did submit a formal complain to them like they asked and they not only did nothing about it but also stood behind the unprofessional and rude behavior of...
