Loft Cafe — Restaurant in Rovaniemi sub-region

We went there twice on snowy days. The first experience ( Sun, Apr 7) was wonderful with a pleasant server who made it a point to ensure the hot chocolate was hot and the melted cheese toast was hot too. The next day we had the opposite experience with the server. We specifically asked her if she could ensure the chocolate is hot but she shrugged it off saying it will be what the machine makes. I asked for melted cheese sandwich. She also misunderstood the order for melted cheese and refused to correct. It was like she didn't want us there...

Edited to answer the response - we would of course pay for the right thing. After all, we had the same thing the day before. You said you would charge us for the misstated/misunderstood order and we didn't want to waste food. Why make an assumption that we won't pay the right value and take an unpleasant stance. It was the overall demeanor. I just went through some of the other reviews which have mentioned 'rudeness' - so this isn't new, i suppose. It is the 'perfect' attitude to have opposite...

Came in at 455pm to get the kids a piece of cake. The server tells me they close in 5 minutes and we will have to take it to go even though Google and their website say they close at 6pm. The kids are choosing their cake by 456 and clearly pointing to the one they want while she continues to ignore us and in front of us covers the exact cake they are standing at pointing to so we left. There truly is no need to be so rude and to turn away money by behaving so poorly when we would have been gone...

Found upstairs in one of the shopping areas. You can enter from both the inside, and the outside via the wooden steps. There are lots of cakes, and a good choice of hot drinks. The inside of the cafe is VERY small, crowded and cramped. The food and drinks are great but there's definitely a lack of space. Outside there are a few bar tables, but without chairs. Worth a visit...
