Get the largest room possible or at a minimum the deluxe otherwise you may feel cramped when comparing it to rooms in the US. The hotels are very clean and the food at breakfast is fantastic. Very wholesome food. No jalapeno peppers and only one type of cheese. If you like quality bread you will fit right in. It is a 40 minute walk to the Arc and another 15 to the Eiffel. A very nice walk with plenty of coffee shops along the way if you want a break. I would not drive. It is worth the walk to take it all in. There is also mopeds and bicycles you can rent to move a bit faster but take a lock otherwise you may be buying the thing. Finally they have a hop on hop off bus probably the best way to go. This is a very public venue used by many different people who are visiting from outside France as well as local residents who are native to the neighborhood. I was glad to see a fair number of security personnel stationed at various points along the way and policing visitors for unsafe possessions and demeanor because obviously matters could otherwise get ugly quickly with certain types of characters hanging around and lurking at some of the more unsuspecting and innocent passersby.
