Great views of Cannes. The church is located on the very top of the hill overlooking the whole city together with the bay and surrounding hills. There's a small sweet garden pass the gate near the entrance to the museum. It's a great place to have a rest in the shade, and there's also a picnic table if you'd like to have a snack. The road up is quite steep, but what you find on top is totally worth the struggle.

Beautiful old church on top of the hill where the origin of Cannes begin. Nowadays a beautiful square with a great view over Cannes. The pines on the square create a welcome shadow on a hot summer day. You can visit the church and/or castle by foot (either walking up the road or taking stairs) but this place is also visited by the tourist train which starts at Palais de Congres.

magnificent hilltop location for this historic treasure ..overlooking Cannes and the Lerins .. find mystery at the base at the Mask Tower where the "Man in the Mask" died.. in this historic chapel you will find a shrine with plaques of thanks to St Expedite; saint of difficult causes.. and see treasures if the ancient Church to St Anne formerly on this site ..

I wandered here whilst enjoying the shops in Cannes and it is just beautiful. There is a great view back over Cannes looking at all the hotels and the beach. The clock tower is particularly pretty and makes for some great photos. I recommend visiting this part of Cannes if you get the chance as it really is quite lovely .

Die Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance ist ein Ort des Gebets und der Andacht für die Gemeindemitglieder und Besucher. Sie hat auch eine kulturelle Bedeutung und dient als Veranstaltungsort für Konzerte und andere kulturelle Veranstaltungen. Von der Terrasse der Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance aus bietet sich eine herrliche Aussicht auf die Stadt Cannes, die Bucht und das Mittelmeer. Viele Besucher steigen auf den Hügel Le Suquet, um die Kirche zu besichtigen und den Panoramablick zu genießen.

L'église Notre-Dame-d'Espérance est une église paroissiale catholique située en France sur la commune de Cannes dans le département des Alpes-Maritimes. Elle est dédiée à Notre-Dame sur la place de la Castre dans le quartier du Suquet, et fait l'objet d'un classement au titre des monuments historiques depuis le 28 juillet 1937. La construction de l’église Notre-Dame d’Espérance remonte au début du XVIème siècle. La population cannoise augmenta à tel point que l’église Notre-Dame du Puy (chapelle romane, place de la Castre) ne put contenir tous les fidèles. De plus, cette église présentait de gros inconvénients : elle servait également de chapelle au château, ce qui contraignait les fidèles à prier sous les yeux du seigneur qui disposait d’une tribune à lui réservée. La fonction défensive de cette chapelle constituait une entrave à la vie paroissiale.
