Don't go to this club. Doesn't even deserve 1 star. It's a shame that such a club is very popular in Paris. The woman at the entrance is incredibly arrogant and the security people do everything what the women said to them. Like some dogs. We wanted to visit the club last night. Me and my boyfriend were both well dressed. I was wearing a beautiful glitter dress and high heels. My friend a pair of jeans and a turtleneck sweater. So certainly well dressed enough for the club. We accidentally met 2 girls on the way there and wanted to enter together. When we queued everything was fine. Suddenly 2 guys came to us and asked if they could join us. I thought nothing of it and politely said "yes". We divided into 2×3 groups. Arriving at the front I said there were 3 of us (in French). The woman looked at us and said straight "no". The other 3 were also sent away immediately. The two boys walked away and we tried to stand in line again. (1 boy, 3 girls). When we got back to the front, she sent us straight away without looking at us properly. After 15 minutes, the two girls we met went back and were suddenly allowed in for 2 people. Me and my boyfriend also queued again, but were seen way back in line and sent out. When we asked the security why we weren't allowed in, he just said "The woman said no, so you're not allowed, I can't say more about that". When we spoke to the woman personally, she looked at us and just said "no". Thought it was very cheeky just not to let us in even though we were well dressed and decent. And my boyfriend dont look angry or something i didn't know the problem. Also observed a lot afterwards. Many men were turned away outright. In the case of a woman, it was claimed that she was not the same at her ID card. She was shocked. Some had to show ID. Those who looked rich and extremely well dressed not. The two women told us that the mens in the club are very disruptive. They talk to women all the time, etc. In addition, the music is not really good and a shot costs €13, which is really too much. All in all I found the entrance terrible, I'm glad I wasn't in and they dont...
Read moreI do not recommend going here. The night of Thurs Oct 5th 2023, a female in our group was drunk and throwing up, security took her upstairs and told her to nap in a closed off area of the club (normally 2nd floor is hip hop but that night 2nd floor was closed). The head of security stayed with her and told us to finish our evening and pick her up when we were leaving and said we could check on her periodically to ensure she was safe, again the 2nd floor was closed off to public that night and dark with lights off. So we had reason to be concerned and check on her for her safety.
A female friend and I checked on her the rest of the night 2-3 times. Right before we were about to leave I went to check on her a 3rd time, a security guard grabbed me when I came back downstairs. I told them I was only checking on my friend who was drunk upstairs napping for safety reasons with security and walked away. 3-4 security then came and tried to tackle me on the dance floor 20 seconds later and ripped my shirt and broke my gold necklace which they never found. They let go of me once head of security stopped them at the stairs and let me back with my friend upstairs. I called the police and made a police report.
Very questionable/unprofessional security and safety concerns at...
Read moreI am not and few of my friends are not big on going to clubs. Occasionally I enjoy it especially in big cities. I have enjoyed music and dancing with high quality DJs living in Chicago and when visiting cities like Barcelona. The experience we had at Le Duplex was pretty disappointing and I am used to the culture many establishments aim for with “exclusivity”. We weren’t looking for much just a little live music and to go hope somewhat early. We felt toyed with when our friends footwear wasn’t acceptable so we went back to our Airbnb to change to what they said, and upon return they changed the rules and decided my wife’s footwear were now unacceptable for entry. The bouncers were rude with their amusement holding it over our head and not letting us in again. They needed approval of the manager and she had no intention of letting us in we realized later and it was rude that she would come out and talk to explain to us. Maybe they felt we were to old or everyone of us did not impress them well enough with our attire, but we definitely felt discriminated against. I would never recommend this place to anyone especially expatriates that are most polite tourists because there will not be reciprocated behavior or...
