When we arrived at the ticket counter there were two ladies there both of whom was doing something else and directed us to the other so we had to stand around waiting for about five minutes until one of them finally sold us tickets. In retrospect I wished we'd just turned around and left. The layout of the museum is very confusing; we almost left without seeing nearly half the museum because we weren't aware the other floors existed. They were not clearly signed. About half of what is signed is about exhibits that are "coming soon". It feels like a half finished museum. Several exhibits were broken and not working correctly. There was a periscope looking at a dark tunnel where you couldn't see anything. Perhaps it was supposed to be lit up? There was an interesting display where you could hear chimes from church bells at different times of day, except that the time selector was stuck on 23:00, so you could only hear church bells from 23:00.

There were a few interesting parts, particularly the basement area, which took you through interesting ruins, and had a model of how the city looked in the 12th century, but most of the rest of the exhibits didn't seem connected to any sort of common theme or...

We went there to know something about Frankfurt history. So, museum is divided to different floors, and there are both "Frankfurt then", "Frankfurt now", and some thematic exhibitions there. In the "Frankfurt then" exhibition, we could see some models of medieval city and well, that was it. All the museum looked like an accidental collection of different stuff from different periods, without any explanation what was going on there. For example, there were some silver jars etc from XVIII th century, and there were old mobile phones scattered everywhere around. I don't know, maybe some beta version of early GPT Chat wrote a scenario of this one. There were also some collections exhibited in different part of the museum, and well, they were much more ordered and explained. Having visited so many good museums in Bawaria, or the Celtic Museum in Glauberg (just some 40 km from Frankfurt), i was shocked about all the disaster i saw there in Frankfurt.

Excellent experience!!! Staff is super friendly! Adults pay €13, and children enter for free. My friend has a son, and I wondered if the museum would be boring for him, but it was quite the opposite, he had so much fun, and also made friends with other kids there too!! Very interactive, fresh, complete. There’s 3 floors and they categorized very nice due to History, Flags history, Money/Bank and coins evolution and process. Transit, planning of city. The top floor has a maquette of the whole Frankfurt city nowadays. And has an interactive booth for kids. Even thought there was a big group, the kids were very obedient and polite, and overall I had an amazing experience. Truly a place to enrich our knowledge, especially from such a strong and cultural city such as Frankfurt, the pioneer and most important financial hub of Germany and the UE. Thanks staff!! @grazicall
