Thomas day (Ed Sheer-Van)Thomas day (Ed Sheer-Van)
Just returned back from a lovely 10 days in the beautiful island of Santorini. We booked through love holidays and saw this beautiful hotel that looked amazing. Of course that was until we opened the door to our room. I'll start with the bathroom. The shower is so tiny the shower curtain sticks to you so you have to shower with the curtain open open. The shower head is flaking and you have to hold it to shower as if you use the holder it sprays into the bathroom. The towel rail was hanging off so couldn't be used and the odour from the drainage smelt of egg constantly. The extractor fan was dirty and looked like it was about to fall off. It was very noisy. The main bedroom had 3 single beds. Not good for a couple on a romantic break. The wall light was hanging off of the wall with exposed wires. I would fail that installation back in the UK as its potentially dangerous. Reported but nothing was done about it. The balcony table was really wobbly. Reported it and a chap turned up and tried to fix it but ended up snapping the leg completely. Table was replaced. The room is very very basic but liveable for a sleep at night. The staff are really lovely and try to help as much as they can but I should have downloaded a translater for my phone.. Breakfast was basic. Same thing everyday. Location was perfect as 60 sec walk to the beach and all bars and restaurants are on the doorstep. If they could just upgrade certain bits it would be a 3 star easily but unfortunately I wouldn't come back. We don't need for much as we spend most of our time out of the hotel.

We stayed here for a week and overall we had a lovely stay. The hotel is in a great location and we just used it as a base. On arrival the reception was closed so we didn't really have a warm welcome as we were shown to our room by someone else. The room was spacious, cleanish with plenty of storage. The room is supplied with AC, safe, hairdryer and fridge freezer. There were only 2 plugs on opposite sides of the room(take a 2/3 plug adapter) one of the plug was dangerously hanging off the wall. The bed was hard and lumpy with a plastic mattress protector which makes you sweat. For some reason there is a dangerous piece of metal sticking up from the floor by the balcony doors. Stepping on that would have led to a trip to the hospital. We decided to leave one door closed to prevent this. We only had breakfast only once as we found it underwhelming. We know it's only a 2 star hotel so wasn't expecting much but the hot food they cook is left on the side to go cold and not kept on hotplates. My advice is there are plenty of good bakeries around to go to. We were woken at 9.30 on a couple of days by room service banging on the door wanting to clean. There's no door signs to say do not disturb. We're on holiday after all, we are not getting up for their breakfast. Overall the hotel needs a bit of TLC with painting and cleaning especially in the bathroom and balcony doors. We didn't receive any information about the hotel. How the safe worked, if there was WiFi, check out time, breakfast time. Maybe have a booklet in the room explaining all this.

I cannot rave about this hotel enough!!! We did Santorini on a budget and this hotel did not disappoint! The location is perfect in Kamari a 2 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute bus ride into Fira. Kamari has plenty of restaurants which is a lot cheaper than Fira. The night life is amazing! We had a late flight and they let us use their shower room and stored our luggage for us, the staff were so helpful and friendly! I must admit the room was pretty basic and needs some work done to it but we didn’t spend much time in the room so it didn’t bother us. Breakfast had plenty of options multiple breads and spreads pancakes, Greek yoghurt and fruit, biscuits, juice and a coffee machine. If we were to come to Santorini again we will 100% be staying here thankyou so much!
