But finding traditional cuisine on a touristy island like Santorini can be quite the task. That’s when I stumbled upon Napoli, a quaint Italian restaurant just a stone's throw away from Kamari Beach. This delightful eatery offers a refreshing escape with its authentic Italian flavors.

From the moment you step in, Napoli transports you straight to Naples. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with the aroma of freshly baked pizza filling the air. Their pizzas are nothing short of divine—crispy, perfectly baked crusts with generous toppings that burst with flavor in every bite. A family run restaurant that will win your heart and stomach on your first visit!

My husband and I are vegetarians, and therefore it was a problem for us to find a restaurant where there would be a wide selection of meatless dishes. At Pizza Napoli Kolymbia, the owner, who also works as a waiter, offered us the opportunity to modify any dish from the menu to its vegetarian version. The portions were huge and the food was really delicious as well as the wine selection served with the meal. Initially, we wanted to stop there only once, but in the end we spent 5 pleasant evenings here, where we felt really welcomed and not just as one of many customers, who come and go away after finishing their meal. No matter where we were on the island (Rhodes town, Lindos, Prasonisi, the West Coast,...), we always ended our evenings in this gastronomic oasis.

It should be noted that most (if not all) of the ingredients from which the dishes are prepared are homemade or grown on the island, whether homemade mozzarella or homemade tagliatelle , which they are rightly proud of. 😊 Also, the chef draws on his many years of work experience from Italy.

In closing, I would only add that although the restaurant's premises are modest at first glance, the excellent food/customer care/atmosphere-enhancing classical Italian music will enchant you with a piece of Italy on the island of Rhodes
