We have just returned from our holiday to Santorini staying at the Polydefkis hotel. Honestly was a great experience. The apartments are all nicely set out, they are spacious and well decorated and cleaned daily! The pool was even better than expected and the view overlooking the massive mountain is 10/10. I will post some pics of the decorations around the hotel pool it is lovely lots of nice painted windows and murals around the pool and the little pathway down to the pool is beautiful. The pool bar is good and the lady who runs it is the sweetest! The location is very good and honestly about 40 steps away from the beach, a nice shop directly opposite the hotel with everything you could need and the hotel is very close to all the bars on the main strip but not too close that you hear it at night which is good. The hotel itself was rather busy with the pool often been busy but it was not too loud or annoying in any way and it was nice to see different families socialising and chatting. We did a package holiday with Tui and the whole process was pretty quick and simple as you’d expect from a package hol. Was picked up and dropped off outside our hotel and it was an easy process throughout . |As you are off to Greece you will be expected to pay the tourist tax there, this hotel charges 7 euro a night per room which is around average I believe- just so you are aware we we initially forgot about this. ||Only negative would be that the reception staff seemed a bit short with us, especially if we had any questions etc but other then that they gave us all the necessary info we needed so it wasn’t really an issue and maybe they were just having an off day! Great experience would absolutely go back and recommend to anyone fancying Kamari - side note the bus from Kamari to Fira is really simple only costs 2 euros and they come every 15 mins and takes about 20 mins, the bus stop is straight up left when leaving the hotel and you will then make a right to go past the basket ball court and see the que of people waiting for the bus - deffo recommend (sorry if my instructions are not helpful but anyone would be happy to direct you as most of the people we met were lovely and happy to help) !! ||Also recommend the Finch cafe and bar for food, went twice and was delicioussss - hope you have a blessed safe and lovely holiday wherever...
Read moreBooked the Polydefkis hotel/apartments with TUI, for my husband and myself. Cost £1400 for 7nights bed and breakfast. |We stayed in a superior studio.|We had apartment 210 that was a ground floor apartment with the entrance -terrace to our room on the street/path so very busy with a shop and bar opposite. I was not keen on how exposed our terrace was, there was no privacy at all. Dint like having a morning coffee on the terrace while locals, motorbikes and other tourists were walking past and some times even sitting smoking on our steps. The studio was lovely decorated with traditional Greek decor. Nice modern shower room and a well equipped kitchenette. Room was very clean and cleaned every day. our room had twins beds which seemed to be smaller than other single sized beds. The husband struggled to get comfortable and dint sleep the best. Also wardrobe and draws were very limited so had to keep a lot of clothes in suitcase. Hotel was easy to check in and staff are all welcoming. The hotel grounds are well looked after with little statues and potted plants everywhere. Pool bar and swimming pool are clean and well looked after. Dint spend much time here because it was far to quite. Guests reading, sun bathing or asleep. Felt like we had to whisper to each other. |PROS,|Lovely decoration in rooms|Well kept grounds and greenery |Rooms had, iron, hairdryer, dressing gown and slippers.|Great air conditioning in room|Lovely homemade pizza at pool bar|Pool towels free of charge|CONS|In a very busy area for noise|Charged for the in Room safe|Breakfast was disappointing of the quality of food food available or lack of. One morning was cold pizza slices (even thou the cooks were lovely)|I would recommend the hotel, maybe in one of the rooms at the rear...

Me and my mother arrived at Polydefkis 11.06.2022 and wow - where do we start?! The girl in the reseption was very nice, smiling and making jokes. Showed us to our room, and the room was stunning! The bathroom is the prettiest bathroom I've ever seen in the south, beautiful tiles, equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion - all containing olive oil - perfect after a day at the beach! Clean towels provided everyday, and a cute little "mat" for outside the shower.
Big kitchen, aircondition included, balcony without sun (also perfect after 8 hours at the beach), housekeeping was friendly and smiling and doing a great job!
The hotel has two pool areas (we found the biggest one on accident on day three) with nice sunbeds and parasols. Pool bar with light serving. We choose breakfast at the hotel, already missing my toast with feta cheese, ham and olives, and the best orange juice I've ever tasted. The staff at the kitchen was also very friendly! :-)
The hotel is more or less located on the beach!
Give Melek some kisses form us, we...
