We left money in the top drawer in our bedside table right at the back when we went to the beach for the day, we counted through all of our money to check if it was all okay, And it wasnt!? We had established that €30 of our money had gone!! We had counted and separated the money into our daily limits multiple times on the holiday and on the day we discovered tho money missing we were €30 down?! At the end of the day I do respect that it’s our fault for leaving it in the drawer but at the end of the day we don’t expect to have someone going through our drawers and taking money out? We aren’t the richest of people and I don’t think it’s a good thing to do in my opinion I think it’s disrespectful how we have paid a lot to stay where we stayed and money has gone misssing. As well as that we found it very strange how one member of staff kept going into our room on a daily basis it wasn’t just the cleaner, he proceeded to enter and leave our room 3/4 times a day and sometimes he was in there for 5/10 minutes which in our opinion isn’t right due to the fact he wasn’t a cleaner... also another issue was the fact that the younger male receptionist seemed to have no respect for me neither my boyfriend, as soon as we walked In to check in his eyes stared straight at my chest and even as we were talking to him he never once removed his eyes from my chest, he acted as if my boyfriend wasn’t there! It made me feel so insecure and so disrespected, at the end of the day it’s a family owned business and a very nice hotel but I don’t appreciate that sort of sleezy behaviour especially when I go up to reception to ask something and as I walk out bothe the young receptionist and the bald man who kept going into our room both watched me walk out and started whispering and when I look back they were staring and grinning at me/ almost laughing! and as a young woman it made me feel very uncomfortable!!! I think the hote is beautiful and a great location their food is amazing and the waiting for both breakfast and dinner were so friendly and welcoming, if circumstances with the money and the wandering eyes staff were different I would definitley stay here more but the fact these incidents have happened I feel as though I don’t want to stay again which saddens me to stay because I had such a perfect holiday but the money going missing and lack of respect from certain members of staff just makes me feel slightly uneasy and slightly unsafe!! I also have experience the same waiting in the lobby for my taxi to the airport the younger male receptionist sat staring at me! Not at my eyes but my chest as if my boyfriend isn’t there!!! That is a high lack of respect for both me and my partner!!! This behaviour from a professional establishment is not okay and I am really unhappy to experience this behaviour!!!
I’m so sorry for the negativity but the actions of this have left me feeling slightly sour as to coming back and enjoying another beautiful holiday with my partner, Thankyou very much for your time and consideration...
Read moreWe came here on our honeymoon and were expecting the service to be a little bit better. We had previously advised of our request for a room with either a double or a queen bed at the time of booking. When we arrived, we got a standard room with a two beds. When we asked for another room, they advised us that they were full.
The hotel itself was really nice, aside from the service we received at the time of our arrival. The front desk never provided any information regarding towels, safes, wifi, or any information of the area itself such as how to get around.
In order to get the room safe, you need to leave 20€ deposit to the front desk which we had to ask about. When we asked about places to eat, we would just get referred to the hotel restaurant. When we asked about how to get around, and places to see, we were advised of boats on the beach that would take us to other beaches, or the bus stop at the top of the hill that contained route information. When we questioned further on how to go about the water taxis, we got nothing.
The showers were horrible. -you can't take one without getting the entire washroom wet. This is because the shower on the wall was mounted so that when the water is turned on, it's already spraying outside of the shower itself. For being priced at over $300/night CAD, I've stayed in a lot nicer hotels throughout Greece and the Cyclades .
I would not recommend this hotel unless you're looking to just stay by the pool or have an easy walk to the beach, although there were nicer ones in the area. On the plus side, the bus stop is right outside the main entrance and the cost to get into town is only 1.60€ before 12am and 2€...
