Staff stole money, very unsafe, unhelpful management.
Summary: I highly DO NOT recommend this hotel as the cleaning staff went through our personal items, then stole money and personal belongings. Reporting to the hotel management did nothing as they were unhelpful. They called all the cleaning staff out to us and that night, my family never felt more fearful of our lives.
Stolen Money: My family and friends stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. On the 1st morning, I went for breakfast and came back to my cash stolen from my belongings. Careless of me and lesson learnt for sure.
Unhelpful management: All the cleaning staff were summoned to the front desk immediately. We tried to be kind and polite, focusing on the insurance claim and not the blame. To which the hotel management then pushed the blame to us and shrugged it off. They did not even want to help us call the police, did not want to give us the police number and said we had to travel out to the police station (15mins away) ourselves in a foreign land to make the police report.
Unsafe: That is NOT the WORST. While all this was happening, one of the cleaning staff sneaked into my sister's room while she was in the toilet. We have full video footage of that and will be more than happy to share it. The lady just walked right into the room without consent and when she was caught by my terrified sister. She claimed that she was just using the phone in the room to speak to the reception. What? Mind you the cleaning ladies had a room of their own just 10 steps away. Can you imagine them walking in when you were sleeping??
Throughout the rest of our stay, we were made to feel extremely unwelcome. Death stares and whispers. That night my family and friends slept in fear. We had to barricade the doors with chairs. I highly highly DO NOT recommend Porto Mykonos - unsafe and not helpful.
Edit: Wow threatening me with legal action after being exposed of such wrong doings at their hotel. How on brand for you. I stayed here years ago for sure, I've got pictures and videos...
Read moreThis hotel has two parts the "basic" and the "modern upscale" rooms. We booked several weeks ago in a suite (431 sq ft with living space and bedroom). Now we had many choices as Mykonos was opening up to vaccinated travelers and for the price felt it was a good value and had some good reviews. They first took us to their basic rooms and offered us a 2 room with 2 beds with a taste of the 70s (not as nice as the Motel 6 in USA). I had seen pictures of the suites and knew something was wrong.
I went back up to the check in receptionist who has terrible customer service skills and acted like I did not know what a suite was and that I was wrong, but would move me tomorrow that they had nothing available. I wish I had told her I travel around 8 weeks per year in 4 star hotels and those room would rate 1 star and I am sure I have seen more suites than she ever will. At that point I told them that we would not be staying as we were giving something completely different than advertised on their own website and to refund my money. Magically a smaller modern upscale room came available. Two days later a manager came and told me they now had larger suite room available. We did not accept because half our time was gone and did not want to repack.
Now if I was giving the room that I paid for then I would say I would stay here again as the "upscale modern rooms" are a true 4 star experience and would have rated the experience 5 stars. The breakfast is a great (menu does not change) but for the morning there is a nice selection. The pool, grounds and views are amazing! Lots of steps but that keeps the heart pumping. Plus a short walk into town.
If you book direct with them as we did I would call and confirm that the room your booking is in the new section or the older basic section it will save you a lot of...
Read moreOur stay at Porto Mykonos was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The check-in experience was seamless, and Andreas, the manager, personally ensured we had an early check-in and even took care of our luggage. This level of care set the tone for the entire stay.||||The staff at Porto Mykonos are truly exceptional. Andreas is an outstanding manager who makes you feel like a valued guest. George at the reception was always professional, friendly, and ready to assist with anything we needed. A special highlight of our stay was George, the barista. He is simply amazing after just one morning, he already knew our coffee preferences and would bring us our coffee with a smile, even before we asked. It’s the small, thoughtful gestures like this that make a huge difference.||||The room was perfect. spacious, spotlessly clean, and with a breathtaking view of the old port, where we could watch the ships. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping everything tidy and fresh. We also appreciated how well-sealed the windows were, providing great noise cancellation for a restful stay.||||The pool area is stunning, recently renovated, and offers a mix of comfort and luxury. The service around the pool was top-notch, and the views are just insane picture-perfect Mykonos vibes.||||The overall atmosphere of the hotel is fun yet calm, with a team of kind and always smiling staff. We truly couldn’t ask for a better experience, and we left with only positive memories. Everything was perfect.||||David and...
