STAY AWAY! THIEVES. We were the only customers there and the service was very slow. The waitress (Athena) didn't even care to look at our table to see if we wanted something. The owner knows about the problems of his restaurant but obviously he doesn't care because he thinks that tourists are stupid.
The moment we sat down the waitress informed us that the POS didn't work so we had to pay in cash. (This is a common practice in Greek restaurants so that they don't give you a formal receipt ar the end and they charge more).
She brought us a bottle of water, which we didn't ask for, and they charged it 2€. She brought two dirty glasses full of lipstick and two pieces of thick stale white bread for which we were charged 2.40€ . That is a lot of money for service. I tried to find the waitress to tell her about the dirty glasses but I couldn't see her anywhere. So I went inside the restaurant, where I found her chatting with her friend , another staff member. When I asked her to bring us two clean glasses her friend (the other staff member she was chating with) looked at me in a strange way. 5 minutes later her friend brought us the clean glasses although she wasn't our waitress. It seemed that she did that on purpose, out of curiosity, just to see who we were because we complained about the glasses. Very unprofessional and childish behaviour.
The food wasn't fresh or tasty and cost 47€ for two main dishes, 3 side dishes and bulk wine. The chips and the grilled anchovies were too salty so we couldn't eat a lot. The fish dish was accompanied by a sauce full of mayo which tasted weird and stale. The fish roe was full of cheap mayo as well.
A fly got in my friend's wine but we couldn't find the waitress Athena to bring us a new one. Eventually we found her talking with her friends once more, but we were very disappointed at that point to ask for anything else. An hour later the kitchen staff got outside , sat in a table and started smoking and chatting. We found this attitude so inappropriate for a restaurant which claims to be elegant. At some point we wanted to pay and the waitress was nowhere around. So, I had to go inside the restaurant once more to find the waitress and ask her for the bill. She brought us a piece of paper with the total amount written on it. NOT a FORMAL RECEIPT. She never came with the change and AGAIN I had to go and find her to ask her to bring me the change and a formal receipt. Her attitude was rude and impolite. When we left the place we realised that the total amount was 10€ more that we should have paid. We hadn't realised that at that moment . We have never thought that we should have added the prices to check ourselves whether the total amount was corret. We got very mad with such an inappropriate behaviour. Just because we are tourists it foesn't mean you can steaour money. I don't recommend the place. Don't get foolled by the reviews. I'm sure there are lots of disappointed customers who didn't leve their review just because they felt ripped...
Read moreBeware!!!! The only OK thing with this place, was the waiter that served me. He was extremely attentive, service minded and nice so i thought i mention that first. The food was probably the worst i've been served and not eaten. You heard right....it was not edible. I ordered the green, garden salad which looked ok at first with some healthy green leaves on top but once they were gone, all you could see was rotten salad. All drenched in balsamic vinegar that steam was coming out of my mouth from all the acid. The cheese on top was nice. I made a remark and the waiter that saw it himself said they would not charge me for that which was a proper solution. My main course was lamb chops that were white like poultry and pork. They smelled horrible, not like real lamb chops which i eat very often. The grilled vegetables looked fresh but i was so disgusted and upset that i could not touch anything, nevertheless eat it. I received the bill and they charged me for food i did not eat and that not even stray dogs would it. I left the place hungry as prior and 12 euro poorer so now i'll stick only to those places i know serve...
Read moreFood was good and well priced. Service wasn't that great and they charged for water and small plates that none of the party had had. We didn't have the water as we saw a waitress pouring water from one bottle into another and putting the bottle on a shelf. Not sure if this was to give to other customers or use for staff but didn't want to risk it.
We did request the items to be removed from the bill however they refused to remove a charge for each person on the table to cover small plates that we didn't have. When we said we only had bread on the table but the waitress had removed it before any of our party even had any they said they wouldn't remove it.
This was quite weird as they said this was normal in Greece but we have not experienced this anywhere else in 2.5 weeks in Greece.
Not sure if this is a tourist scam used to add unknown items to the bill in the hopes tourists pay it as the receipt is in Greek. Would recommend avoiding if you are a tourist just in case this is a scam used on unsuspecting tourists as they may try pulling...
