Nice little shop about a 10-15 minute walk from the cruise port on a back side street (near the State liquor/wine/beer store). When we arrived it was empty so did not need to take one of the "deli counter" paper numbers from the machine at the door. The young girls were helpful and quickly showed us an English menu. Reasonable selection of hard scoop ice cream as well as soft serve. We got one scoop of licorice in a small sugar waffle cone, which was $4.75USD each (very expensive but typical in Iceland). Scoop was small but very tasty and creamy with some soft licorice mixed in. In general, the flavors were standard and not very much "stuff" in any of the hard scooped flavors. We were told later that most locals get soft serve and select their own mix-ins (they have a huge section of candy and nuts toppings available, bigger than the ice cream flavors). Store was clean and had tables inside and by the parking lot (no views of water). Overall it was a great place to try...

The young lady behind the counter greeted us in Icelandic, but as soon as we responded "Hello" in English, without skipping a beat she switched over to English. Highly recommend, and conveniently located to the downtown shopping square and near the beautiful church,...

You get a big portion for a little less than 2000 ISK. It tastes very good and they show all the nutritious facts for each skyr bowl 👍🏼 Had to wait a little bit for it to be made but that was alright. The only thing I really didn’t like was that the lady mixed way too much of the pink / purple mix and poured half the mixer into the sink. My heart was aching a bit because it was perfectly good food that she could have just given as an extra on top instead of...
