Interesting museum, but not for the adult price. The art display was on average, not the best or the worst, basically just art being represented by artists who got recently many awards on their work. I was stopping by in Akureyri for only a few hours and this was a lovely little museum to visit. I came less than an hour before closing but the man behind the desk was very friendly and gave me information on how to get the most out of my short visit. You can get an idea of all the exhibits in 30-60 minutes. They had a wonderful, moving exhibition on the top floor called The Visitors that I would recommend to anyone. The local artists and children's work they were displaying was quite charming too. Enjoy some coffee at the cafe before you go!...

I was impressed by the age range and number of local and regional artists represented. The museum's windows connected nicely with the town as did the very pleasant...
