OMG – I am really out of words!!! ✨💙 Blue Lagoon Skincare at Laugavegur 15 in Reykjavík has given me the most AMAZING customer experience I ever had. 🥰 Not only are the products unique and wonderful (the salts, the skincare – pure magic!), but the team is absolutely out of this world. 🌍✨ I made a mistake when buying a product during my trip, and from Hamburg I wrote them a little message. What happened then was unbelievable: the kindest, fastest, most generous and heartwarming support you can imagine. They didn’t just help me – they turned a small problem into a story I will never forget. 🙏 This is how customer service should be: human, kind, and simply wonderful. 💫 I will tell all my friends and family about Blue Lagoon Skincare – and whenever you are in Iceland, don’t miss this store! And buy as much as you can… you will not regret it! It’s worth every dollar/euro/ISK. 💙🤩 And don’t miss the black salt – it tastes amazing and is such a spectacular highlight at a dinner with friends, when you tell them about Iceland, the volcano fields, glaciers and geysers. 🌋✨ THANK YOU for being incredible – you made my Iceland journey even more unforgettable. 🥳✨ All the best from Hamburg, Harry

During my recent trip to Iceland, I had the pleasure of visiting the Blue Lagoon Skincare store, and I can't recommend it enough! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff who were eager to share their expertise about the skincare products. Their passion for skincare and the unique ingredients sourced from the Blue Lagoon made the experience truly special. The selection of skincare gifts is impressive, and I found the perfect items to bring back home for my friends and family. Each product is beautifully packaged, making them ideal holiday gifts. Love that I can share a piece of Iceland with my loved ones through these luxurious skincare.

I had put this store on my list of things as a must-do to pick up the Silica mask for my friend who wanted another one. They offered the travel size 30 ml (small size) masks and the large 75 ml size. The small ones online were $45 but the box of all 4 types was $135 (Silica Mud Mask, Algae Mask, Mineral Mask, and Lava Scrub Mask). For the 75 ml size, a single mask was $95 with the box of all 4 was $300. Buying them in the store instead of online was 32,220 krona which was $119 or a $16 savings between online and the store.

The blue Mineral mask has aloe and the geothermal water among other ingredients. It is not a mud mask but is supposed to moisturize your face and you should leave it on 10 - 20 minutes or even overnight. I wore it all day at home and washed it off in the evening. Since there was no mud, my face looked normal although a little more shiny.

I am not sure if the lava particles are really good to rub off your delicate face. There did not seem to be enough lava particles to get a really good scrub without using a lot. It did not hurt my face or make it feel too raw though.

I found the silica mask made my face feel a little dry afterwards although the mud and things are supposed to deep clean pores and make your face feel smoother. I think I will try the Mineral mask after the Silica mask next time.

I have not used the Algae mask yet.

The store also offered the BL skin care line and hand and body sets.

It is worthwhile to ask the staff if you buy a certain amount if they are offering any free gifts. Also, if you spend over 12,000 Krona which is easy to do in the store, ask for a tax refund receipt so you can get refunded the VAT when you apply at the airport. You will need to fill out the receipt, then bring it to the airport tax refund kiosk and in 4-6 weeks, the tax will be refunded to your credit card. Leave 30 minutes for the line at the tax refund. It took us about 15 minutes, but it could be longer if there is a long line. You also should have your goods easily accessible in a bag in case they want...

I planned my trip to Iceland around a visit to Blue Lagoon. When they offered transportation from my hotel, and then to the airport, I booked it and thought I had planned everything well. I had an 8am appointment, and their instructions were to be ready for the transport at 6:30am so that we could be on the road by 7am. I waited outside (it was 30 degrees Fahrenheit) for 45 minutes but transportation never came. What made things more stressful is their contact phone number does not start receiving calls until 9am. When I was finally able to speak to someone she did not seem to understand that, because the transportation (that I pre-paid) never showed up, I couldn’t make it to my appointment, which was the only window of time I had before my flight. So far I have been unsuccessful in trying to get any sort of refund, apology, or even acknowledgement for this incredibly frustrating experience. I should have taken others’ advice and gone to Sky...
