Sister Tekla (If I didn't get her name wrong) at the reception is very sweet, polite and helpful. The priests too are fine, usually helpful, but church procedures are becoming more stringent and meaningless rather, like Indian govt offices. I wanted to get my grandparents' civil marriage done and they're asking for NOC of my parent's siblings which doesn't make sense. If I'm giving my grandparents' marriage certificate given by the Church and present in Church records to be attested, and I have proof of my relation with them, my parent's siblings don't come in the picture at all! They don't have a right to enable or even stop me from obtaining my own grandparents' civil marriage. No logic here. Besides, we Catholics give too much money to the church and look what they do (In the picture attached): The Archdiocese is in Colaba and I'm from Borivli. By the time I reached there my phone battery was relatively low. It would have been nice to have a charging socket available but folks at the Bishop house think that a little power usage will burn their pockets which are filled by Church goers themselves. So they tape the charging socket shut. These are the deeds of an institution that is known for charity. This is the reason why my mom always tells me that it's better to give money at an orphanage than give it...
Read more2 sundays ago I wrote to the archdiocese that I was denied holy communion on the tongue and had to return back to my seat without receiving communion. My parish priest of st Antony Malwani isnât permitting anyone to receive communion on the tongue forcibly giving communion in the hand or go without and return to your seat. This is despite the cardinal saying communion can be received on the tongue as before the pandemic. What happened to obedience to the hierarchy? If he wants us to listen to him shouldnât he be obedient too? Fr Cajetan talks of infection in that case there would never be a mother Teresa, she carried lepers but never god affected. Itâs only when you think of the host as a piece of chapati that you will think of infection but when you understand that the host is the lord himself you will on the contrary be healed of your illnesses. Maybe father doesnât believe in the changing of bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ! So many parishioners are going to other parishes for mass because of not being able to receive communion on the tongue. When god has given us free will to choose why is this priest imposing his will on us. Jesus left the ninety nine to search for that one lost sheep and here is this bad shepherd who refuses to hold his parish together and is not concerned if he...
Read moreThe Father or the Man who was communicating with Us only over the phone in the Reception was So Rude. He wouldn't let us speak and Did not Value our Time or the Fact that we had travelled from Mira Road to Fort just to get his Assistance. I understand that they have a lot of work but Can you just be polite and just Consider our time as well? We travelled almost 1 hour 45 mins only to be told that Nothing can be done and go to a Kandivali Parish. We were so disappointed with the behaviour and the manner in which he treated us. Sometimes it's like They make things so difficult for us. Would you feel like going to the Church or to meet a father if you were constantly Judged or Treated in a dismissive manner? Not done at all. I just wish you give people the same respect You Want from them. Works both ways. The nun was sweet and patient but the Father whose face we never got to see and who wouldn't let us talk over the phone....God is watching you too Sir. Sending you peace and Healing. Hoping you treat others with Love and Respect.God Bless đ We are a Part of the Church, How can You call Yourselves Ambassadors of God and Peace and Love when You do not follow that yourself? You are all very Important people but in the Eyes of God so Are we. So Basic Decency and respect. Because is it not that what you preach...
