ย ย ย Read moreSarinah Building (Gedung Sarinah) has just been renovated by Indonesian government. It was the first shopping mall ever built in Jakarta (cmiiw). It's now becoming one of the favorite meeting points for Jakartans coz of its strategic location. The MH Thamrin bus stop for TransJakarta bus is located exactly in front of the mall. If you prefer MRT, it only takes 5-10 minutes walking from Bundaran HI station.
The foods in Sarinah are representing Indonesian traditional food. Good taste. Good place. If you prefer street food stalls, just take a 5-min walk to Jalan Sabang (Sabang St) where you can indulge in loootss of Indonesian foods with good price.
Sarinah also has clean and quite large prayer rooms with clean ablution space. Alhamdulillaah.
The restroom is quite clean, yet the bidet of the closet doesn't work really good. Hopefully the management will settle it.
Overall, it's enjoyable having an evening meetup with friends here. Don't forget to take pictures in the bus stop and at the atrium, especially at night, to capture the city night lights....
