Stayed over for two nights from 1-2/5 and checked out on 3/5. The hotel is right facing the Kuta beach. Just less than 2mins crossing the busy street and you will see the beautiful sea. The driver dropped us at the hotel lobby. They have a decent spacious lobby. However, upon our arrival, there weren't any staff that helped us to carry our luggages. We have to carry the luggages by ourselves to the lobby to check in. During checked in, the staff will give a welcoming drinks. The check in procedure was a breeze. The lady did explain the standard instruction to us. We were only given one access card for two nights. As I mentioned, none of the staff at the lobby were available to offer help to carry our luggages to the room. We have to do it by ourselves. The room given was 246. Was facing the next hotel building with a decent balcony. The two bedroom has good lighting and cosy air con. Strong powerful wifi. The hotel room provides free toiletries, hair dryer, clean towels and two mineral water in glass! It was a bit inconvenience to carry the glass mineral water outside cos you must have the canned opener to open the mineral water and you must finish it once open cos no way you can keep it without able to close the cap. The in-house safe was locked and we can use it. The kettle was not functioning properly and we have to contact the housekeeping staff to repair it. However the staff came in the room without removing his shoes. Appreciated his prompt action to solve our problem. The shower water power was a bit weak and the water heater wasn't stable as first night we received hot water for showering but on the second night, I barely feel any hot at all. The breakfast is very good with lots of variety and fruits. They have this special Indonesia fruit called Buah Salak madu (snake fruit). Surprising it is very tasty but a bit dry tho. The breakfast is on roof top. They provide a good dining experience facing the swimming pool. The breakfast contains of fried rice, noodle, porridge, eggs, variety of tropical fruits, breads, cornflakes and many different juices (not the real original juices) and coffee and drinks. They have the coffee machine that offers latte and cappuccino drinks which is very nice. The staff were very attentive at the breakfast restaurants. The pool was very nice facing the sunset and sea. The only problem I have experienced was I have a very tight schedule and only able to use the pool on the last day of my stay before checking out. However, the pool area was used for wedding and the hotel guests can't used the pool from 7am to 11am. It is very sad that as a paid guest we were not allowed to use the paid facility! It was quite a disappointment. I booked this hotel mainly because of its sunset and sea view! The hotel is walkable to Beachwalk shopping mall. About 8mins slow walk. The hotel also provides shuttle to airport that charge 200k rupiah. We booked it one day before the departure. It only take 30mins to reach airport from the hotel as we were checking out at 10.30am. Despite some of the hiccups, I will still recommend this hotel. Hope they will improve the lobby services and the reception should have informed the coming guests at least few days before any planned wedding so that the guests can pre-plan their schedule to use the pool. I only received the notification the night before the next day wedding.

Not really a 4 or 5 star hotel as advertised. At best, it’s a 3 star hotel. The pros- the pool is really nice, and the view is unmatched. The spa’s masseuses also do an excellent job, with reasonable prices. Cons- the rooms are weird. The bathroom doors might as well not exist, and the main mirror in the bathroom slides open for some reason. The walls are paper thin, so you’ll hear pretty much every sound coming from the hallway or next door, and you can guess that they’ll hear you. Couples, take this as you will. Hot water was also temperamental, often times we were taking cold showers. I don’t know why the lamp is the way it is in the room, but some contractor got creative. The restaurant has a decent breakfast spread. I recommend adding that on to your room, it’s definitely worth it- the restaurant besides that is terrible. The food just doesn’t have much flavor, and you’ll get a better bang for your buck at surrounding restaurants! The alcoholic drinks are also just not good, and not mixed very well. They also do this thing where unless you put some random deposit down (they couldn’t explain the deposit thing very well, so we elected to not go with it), you can’t charge things to the room. This ordinarily wouldn’t be a problem, but every charge you incurred HAD to go back down to first floor reception to physically pay there. So every time you got something, you have to go down to reception to pay for it. It’s just not a good policy, and no other hotel that we stayed in within Bali did this. The hotels taxis will try and rip you off for basic/easy trips. I recommend downloading the Gojek app to get the best price for transportation. Every time we ordered we had a Gojek within 10 minutes and at 1/3 of the price of the hotels Taxis. Every time they wanted 150-350 thousand rupiah. For their prices, you could hire a private driver for the whole day. If you’re looking for a place to sleep for the decent location, sure, this is fine. If you’re looking for a sense of luxury (4-5 star level) and a comfortable place for RnR, this isn’t the place.

Being a property of Accor group, I booked the Mercure kuta bali hotel for 5 nights but our experience was just okay. Payment issue: At the check-in my card was swapped for IDR 5200000 instead of IDR 4800000(booking amount) saying that during the checkout the amount will be refunded. At the checkout my total bill was something around IDR 5000000, but the remaining amount has not yet been refunded to my card yet( after 2 days). Language issue: Being a 4 star hotel we expect their staff to know atleast basic english. However, they had a lot of trainees working for them who did not know any english. We had a tough time asking for some extra bottles of water at night. Ambience and location: The hotel is located right at the beach at the center of kuta. The location is one the best with many nighclubs, restaurants, shopping area in the vicinity. The ambience is nice and has a tropical look. However, in some places the hotel needs a bit of maintenance/renovation. Amenities: The hotel is equipped with all the needed amenities. Food: The breakfast spread was good and has a lot of varieties. The items served were freshly prepared and did taste good. For dinner they have a limited menu but the service was good and the food was tasty. Other: The infinity pool is really nice, well maintained and gives spectacular view. The view from the 4th floor deck is superb. The restaurant also provides great view of the indian ocean.

Mercure Hotel Kuta is in a fantastic location, right opposite the beach and close to main tourist areas such as as Poppies 1, Poppies 2 and Beachwalk Shopping Mall. Staff are wonderful and are very helpful and fixed my mistake when I booked the wrong dates and needed to change them (thanks Mira and Risma!). The rooms are very comfortable if a little small but two things worth noting are that (a) there isn't a desk so if you plan on using a laptop it might be uncomfortable and (b) the basin in the bathroom only has room temperature water, there is no hot tap. Breakfast was great, with a lot of variety and staff quickly refilled as things got eaten. Grab a window seat if you can, because the view across the infinity pool to Kuta beach is lovely. The only improvement to breakfast would be to make omelettes freshly, rather than coking them in batches ahead and letting them sit in a bain marie. I think most people would be happy to wait for a fresh one. The pool is fantastic but there isn't a shallow end, so watch your kids if they are small (although there is a separate baby pool). Oh, and food and drinks by the pool are good, with cocktails being very reasonably priced.

This hotel offers an amazing view of the sea. This was our second stay in the hotel and they upgraded us to the suite. It was just next to the pool. The pool has a feel of infinity look. If you are in Bali for a relaxing holiday, this is the best place. They also offer Bar-B-Q for dinner with a wide range of veg and non veg menu on an open rooftop. I loved the food. The breakfast was also included in the booking and we loved it. It was a mix of American menu and traditional Balinese menu. We went in August and the weather was pleasant. Bali is getting a bit crowded, so from the airport it took around 45mins to reach the hotel. It is located in a prime location in Bali. Party going people will absolutely love the location. At night it was a bit noisy outside since the hotel is just next to the beach but the noise wasn’t that audible inside the room. Rooms are huge, I could even jump around. They even decorate the bed with flowers. The bathroom was big and had a giant tub to relax. The behaviour of staffs are pleasant. All over very nice experience. I am looking forward to visit them again.

This one of the best places you can stay in Kuta. First of all the beach is right across the road, which is exactly what I wanted. I don't think there are many hotels with a beach view. The hotel is very well decorated with ponds with fishes and staff are very friendly. My room had the view of the ocean. Although the room I stayed in wasn't very big, but was comfortable . The bed was in the middle of the room with the table behind the bed. The bed was facing the balcony, which was small and cosy, yet it had 2 chairs and table to sit and enjoy the view. The cupboard was big enough and they also had a small freezer and standard tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom was nice and clean and well equipped with bidet as well. The hotel was a infinity pool on the top floor with an amazing view of the pool. The kitchen is also on the top floor. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with wide variety of continental and Indonesian food. Do go for breakfast a bit early as if might get crowded. Overall I loved this place and I highly recommend this hotel!
