Super expensive for Catania average I total bill of 90 euros for 3 people! And I have paid 30 euros for two and half polpete and some mixed salad salad that tasted like mould we asked from some vegetables and they brought a sort of chicória and made us paid 10 euros for that! When other places would charge less than 5 euros . I paid the bill and had the feeling of being robbed ! The polpette were nothing special some of them were raw inside and we asked to do it again and the owner was rude telling us that horse meat was like that !!! Which made me be even more upset cause I thought I was eating Agnes meat and after all I was paying 22 Euros f for 5 polpette of horse meat that I could pay 4 euros in a restaurant in ursino ! 3 euros when the majority of the places doesn't change more than 2 ! Anyway it was by far the worse experience of eating in Catania and I used to live in this town ! I should have know better when I saw the restaurant empty and the others were full . Never again! Stay away from this place that just...
Read moreWe came here just for drinks so I cannot speak of the food but it did smell soooo good when they were cooking the pizza. I wish I came here with some appetite! As for the wine experience me and my friend, we are traveling and we are Prosecco lovers and he took us to the back of the shop to see all the bottles in the fridge and we got to choose with his suggestions. Also we took a coffee and alcohol drink and he made it special for us as we liked. It was really a beautiful experience here, just awesome! and Ayub the waiter with the other waiter too were really so nice and helpful, they were so warm and smiling all the time. We even tried to leave tip at the end and he didn't even want and said all was good. We will definitely be back. If you are looking to eat on this tourist street here in Catania, don't be tempted by pretty gardens, it's not worth it. The humble chairs and look of this restaurant are nothing compared to the quality of the service. Thank you so much Polpetteria! I love...
Read moreI left this place with mixed feelings: on the one hand, meatballs here are delicious, second best I tried (Stockholm's are still the first). On the other hand, it was perfectly clear that personal was hurrying me. Which was weird: it's a restaurant, not a fast food. I'm not sure why was I so special comparing to other visitors: my behaviour and look was normal. The only difference was that I'm a tourist. Also a waiter accidentally (or not) kicked me when he was passing through to the next table, but even didn't say he's sorry. Either it was xenophobia or just rude attitude it was inappropriate and totally spoiled the impression. Also they haven't brought me the menu with drinks, even after I asked two times. And for restaurant were staff allows themselves such a behaviour they have a terrible and dirty toilet. They'd better clean it instead of being rude...
