Great stay! I spent one night at the Domus Australia before travelling back from Fumicino. I wanted a hotel near Termini but on a nice area. It was a short walk to Termini, I felt safe, the place was perfect for a night stay. Check 2pm: the lady in reception was very nice, I was early so they let me leave the bags and go to the City and when I came back my bags were already in my room. Breakfast: from 7am and what a display! Great selection of foods and drinks. They gave me a bag with bits for the breakfast and a bottle of water as I had to leave early. Helpful staff. Room: I had a very large bed even though I travelled solo because I booked an offer with Expedia and for under £90 it was great price for value. Yes the bed make a noise and the room is a bit old but super clean with plenty of towels, toiletries, tissues, kettle, complimentary coffee and teas and a mini bar ( to be paid for) . Cups are plastic and would loved this to be changed in the future but this didnt put me off from booking. I was on the second floor overlooking the street and some street noise but I used earplugs and slept so well. Perhaps you can ask for a room on the internal side. Temperature wise I didnt use the aircon but opened window on and off for fresh air. I liked the floor with tiles instead of carpet as seemed cleaner. May be cold in winter so bring sleepers! Surroundings: lovely internal garden with seats to relax, plus a Church ! Rebasilico Restaurant : best in the area, Would recommend. Thank you

We spend here 2 nights at the end of September. Everything is clean and in a good, modern condition, still I would tend to see it more a 3 rather a 4 star hotel. The staff is friendly and supportive. The breakfast is average and I found it not really tasty. The bed in our room was XXL and very comfortable. Also the windows keeping the noises from the street out as well you can darken the room perfectly. The AC was efficient, but a bit loud. I liked the quiet neighborhood. Parking situation is a bit difficult, but luckily we found a slot on a Saturday afternoon around the corner. Its about 1€/hour. You have to pay for parking between 8am and 19pm. There are other areas where you are allowed to park only for 3 hours The hotel comes with a roof top terrace, which is the dining, breakfast and bar area. The rooftop has no view and it feels a bit of a canteen. The cocktails we got there have been good, affordable and the bar tender was generous with the alcohol šŸ˜…šŸ˜Ž We liked the stay here, but again its not 4 stars. The pictures are a bit misleading. To the management, its 2024 and having plastic cups for the juice is a NoGo šŸ‘Ž Also what I personally in the preparation didn't like was the fact, that the hotel was not reacting on any of the mails I passed them before. So communication via email is not existing.

On my first night, the air conditioning wasn’t working, and the receptionist couldn’t help us solve the problem, as maintenance wasn’t around. We had to sleep with the windows open for ventilation. The ceiling lights were also dirty, and stuff in the room broken. The photos are attached. I sent an email to them with the photos, and they offered an upgrade for the second night. The second room was a superior room that was much better. It was clean, and better maintained than the 1st room.

The worst experience that I had in Italy when when I arrived, there was no hot water in my room when I called the front desk asking about the hot water. They simply said that I need to wait for 10 to 15 minutes. Half an hour later, we still no hot water. I called them back and the front desk clerk just told me there’s nothing they can do. I need to wait at least two hours because then they ran out of hot water. I said that I need to change rooms or to be in a room closer to the boiler so I can have a bath after a long trip they said that they’re gonna check and call me back. They never call me back and I have to take a cold bath the next morning when I woke up there was no hot water. I went to the front desk and they said there’s nothing they can do that. The only thing they could do is put me in a room where the hot water was working, but I could only go there to take a shower, but I could not change rooms I said that that doesn’t make any sense But they said there’s nothing they can do. I could go take a shower and come back, but I have to stay in my room. In the second day, I learned that I need to take showers in the afternoon because later and night the hot water will not work when I ask about the AC in the room because I was in the first floor facing the parking lot and keeping the windows open was not an option. They said that the AC is not working first they stole a lie saying that there is a mandatory citywide band on AC until May When I look online and said there’s no such thing they change their story saying actually they are under maintenance and have no AC available when I questioned why there’s nothing like that saying the website and why they are promoting rooms with AC when during the day Rome was reaching 30°C they said that was something they didn’t Know that was going to happen and now I need to wait for AC to be fixed overall horrible experience don’t stay...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Domus Australia was deeply disappointing, primarily due to the front desk staff member named Corina. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable.||The check-in process was unnecessarily unpleasant. Corina appeared irritated simply because we attempted to use the Wi-Fi before she mentioned it. More concerning, she failed to inform us that the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working—a major issue given the heat—and did not offer any apology or solution.||When we inquired, she falsely claimed that the city of Rome had banned hotels from using air conditioning, which we later found out was untrue. Our concerns were brushed aside with constant ā€œI don’t knowā€ responses, and we had to get Hotels.com involved to receive compensation for the inconvenience.||Asking about the laundry service led to further frustration. Although we had the manager’s approval, Corina flatly refused to provide the necessary coins and even mocked us for insisting. When she did provide coins, they were of the wrong denomination—something we felt was intentional.||What made the situation worse was that she appeared warm and courteous to other guests. We couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being treated differently, and it raised concerns of racial discrimination. We were made to feel so uncomfortable that we avoided asking any more questions at the front desk altogether.||Attempts to contact the manager during our stay were unsuccessful, leaving us feeling helpless and unheard. What should have been a pleasant stay in Rome was overshadowed by this unprofessional and, frankly, distressing treatment.||I am posting this review in the hope that management takes this seriously and ensures no other guests are subjected to the same experience. Hospitality should be consistent and respectful to all—this was...
