Do not eat here. The manager Constantino is an aggressive, angry racist who treats customers with no respect. He should be fired.
We ordered an appetizer plate with potato croquettes. The potato croquettes came with prosciutto, but it wasn’t listed on the menu. My friend asked a female waitress if the other two types of food had meat in them since we’re vegetarian.
Constantino came to our table and wouldn’t stop harassing my friend, since they were speaking in Italian. He was so angry and speaking so loudly, which was so unnecessary. He said that we should’ve read the menu, but it was listed as potato croquettes in both Italian and English.
He finally said “If you’re Muslim and you don’t eat pork, then you need to tell us before. That’s how we make it here.” It became clear what his problem was. It wasn’t about reading the menu. He became more aggressive and tried to touch my friend’s phone. We had to scream at him in both Italian and English to stop because he wouldn’t stop. We had to ask for our pizza to go but he kept harassing us up until we left the restaurant. They made us pay for everything. Shameful.
Everyone was starting at us. Everyone working in the restaurant looked so embarrassed by his behavior but no one helped us. Shame on the entire staff for enabling not only poor customer service but also racism.
Note: they changed the menu after this situation. Google wouldn’t let me upload the...
Read morePoor service and rude waiters. 1 star for the drinks. The food wasn't great - carbonnara tasted of soap and spaghetti bolognese tasted blant. We've also ordered coke and glass of sweet white wine, which was lovely. When the food was ready I've asked for another glass of the same wine, however, was given a glass of dry. After pointing the mistake to two different waiters, the dry wine was taken away, but the replacement never arrived. Food was disappointing and with missing the 2nd glass of wine, we've asked for a bill just to discover we were charged for 2 glasses instead of 1. Also, a service charge of £2 per person has been included. They quickly amended the wine unit on the bill but we've have also requested for the service charge to be removed as the service was awful. The waiter did not want to hear that and was very rude and loud insisting we pay the service charge. It was at least 5 min long loud discussion with him being super rude telling us he does not care of our reasons etc. It wasn't about the money to us, but his attitude was the issue. We left the money for the food and drinks and went with him shouting at us very rudely 'to go back to our country '. Worth mentioning the place was packed with people queuing to get the table. Do not recommend this place, awful service and worse than...
Read moreI’ve visited plenty of restaurants in various countries.I have to say that the service and the enthusiasm in the waiters in Rome are on a way lower niveau than in other cities. Now to this restaurant in particular… First of all we made sure that the waiter got our order right, he even repeated it for us. But jokes on us, they still forgot a whole pizza (critique point 1). All the waiters were extremely rude except for one (critique point 2). We were served on a table with orange plastic chairs which were broken (critique point 3). Our food took a total of 1 hour even though we clearly stated that we don’t have that much time (critique point 4). When my pasta finally came it was such a disappointment. We were promised “thick noodles” on the menu; I received thin noodles with a joke of a sauce. (critique point 5). My friend threw up after his spaghetti carbonara (critique point 6). When we were done the “manager” was very rude when we had a problem with the receipt (critique point 7). The pizza I ordered was very tasty and perfect and that’s why I gave this restaurant 2 stars instead of 1.
In conclusion, I was very disappointed and dissatisfied. I really...
