As someone who travels extensively and regularly dines out around the world, I rely heavily on Google reviews — and this is the first time I’ve ever felt misled enough to leave one myself. Let me start with the facts: after being seated with my family, we waited well over half an hour before anyone approached us to take our order — not even a basic question like whether we’d like something to drink. This lack of attentiveness set the tone for the rest of the visit. Once we were finally able to order, the food did arrive relatively quickly. Unfortunately, the quality did not match the speed. I ordered a steak that turned out to be very small, and after taking just one bite, I realized it was full of sinew and connective tissue — extremely tough and unpleasant to eat. I attempted to try a few more pieces from the remaining portions on the hot stone, but it simply wasn’t possible. The texture made it inedible. Despite this, no one asked whether something was wrong or if I had enjoyed the meal — even though the steak was clearly barely touched. To make matters worse, the total bill for three people came to €160, and the staff showed zero interest or concern. I’m not someone who looks for conflict or complains easily, but I genuinely believe that in any restaurant — especially one with such high ratings — it’s basic professionalism and courtesy to ask a guest if everything was okay, particularly when a dish is left almost uneaten. Waiting for the customer to raise the issue is not hospitality — it’s avoidance. I’ve attached a photo of the steak so others can judge for themselves. And while I expect the owner may reply here with a standard justification or explanation, I’m simply sharing my honest, firsthand experience — nothing more, nothing less. I truly regret choosing this place based on its rating. I fully agree with the more critical reviews, and I hope mine helps others make a better-informed decision.

--- Quantic Savour --- What I liked: Service: Exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Ambiance: Comfortable with practical details such as coat hooks near the tables. The decor is an appealing mix of vintage and art. Presentation of dishes: Impeccable, each dish is a work of art. Tagliatelle with picanha ragù: A perfect balance between flavor and texture. Homemade fresh pasta: Truly a strong point that makes a difference. Beef cheek in red wine: A dish with intense and delicious flavors. What could be improved: Bulk wine selection: Too narrow and qualitatively limited, more akin to a fixed menu trattoria. I would recommend adding options by the glass ranging from simple wines to great classics. 4-5 wines would be a good start. Coffee: Unfortunately disappointing, it needs greater attention to quality. Details in the preparations: The meatball trio could be improved. There seems to be an interesting margin to refine the picanha ragù, and I can already envision how a personal touch could be added to the cacio e pepe with red shrimp. Conclusion: Overall, I am satisfied, but with a few adjustments, "the artistic table" could truly shine. A restaurant with great potential awaiting perfection. --- Quantic Savour ---

absolutely beautiful pumpkin-mushroom risotto, a decent cacio e pepe made gourmet with some shrimp tartar on top, and a quite disgusting fish soup. the service is correct - they bring you a free starter and post desert (even though these are just a teaspoon of mashed potato and a little biscuit) and name all of the plates that they bring to the table (even the bread, presumably for people allergic to the nutbread) - so they formally follow all of the correct "finer dining" behaviours. This, in combination with the tablecloths and fantastic lighting does 90% of the job to make sure you have a good experience. as a system, it works. people don't remember what they ate, but the feelings they had, and Bacco is designed to make sure that people have good feelings. but the food doesn't invite me back. the cost is way out of proportion of the quality, they need to be told to bring cutlery, and above all the fish soup was just so bad, so inexplicably heavy, and we were so looking forward to it. three stars.

Visited in July 2023 and returned in January 2025 for another round of indulgence, and once again, Amazing Modern Cuisine did not disappoint. This restaurant has consistently impressed with its bold approach to modern dining, offering both innovative dishes and exceptional quality.

The food selection continues to be diverse and well-curated, ensuring there's something for every palate. A standout from both visits was the pumpkin risotto, which was nothing short of remarkable. Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced in flavor, it highlighted the chef’s mastery of seasonal ingredients.

Equally impressive was the dry-aged beef ribeye. Cooked to perfection, the meat was tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with a selection of sides that complemented rather than overshadowed the main attraction. It’s clear that the kitchen takes great care in sourcing and preparing their ingredients.

The service deserves special mention as well. The staff is not only friendly but also highly professional and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and ability to provide thoughtful recommendations truly sets the restaurant apart.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or returning for another round, Amazing Modern Cuisine in Rome remains a must-try for anyone seeking top-tier contemporary Italian dining. The consistent excellence in both food and service ensures this will be a place I’ll return to...

Very disappointed.. seated next to toliot upstairs (overspill tables only 3 there ) even though the restaurant wasn't full booked. This booking was made 2 days before !! So not sure why we were seated where we was as restaurant wasn't full on arrival or when we left !! Secondly, one started was good, and second started tacos had far too much sour cream not much meat or barbecue sauce. Thirdly, I ordered mains the same time as starters, the wrong steak was given the salad was bland, no dressing more leaf then mixed salad... brocoli was over cooked and soggy. And the potatoes that was ordered to complement steak didn't arrive, until we asked 15 minutes later they arrived one portion, instead of the 2 we asked for. No other drink was offered either.

Massively disappointed in this restaurant as we chose this restaurant based on reviews on the chef and the food. Been in rome for the week having tried many restaurants we found this place to be the worst by far no atmosphere Especially after paying 140 euros for 1 drink and Substandard meal. Maybe we...
