Gondola Venezia - Riccardo — Attraction in Venice

We had a truly unforgettable gondola experience in Venice. Though it was late in the evening and rain threatened to spoil our last day, our gondolier patiently waited for the skies to clear and made sure we didn’t miss out.

He kindly took us through the smaller canals, just as we wished, and shared fascinating anecdotes about the landmarks along the way. His warm commentary and beautiful singing added so much charm, turning what could have been a damp evening into one of the most memorable moments of our trip.

A very nice smaller gondola service that, it feels like that for me, gives you a more friendly and tailormade experience. We were able to see a lot of smaller canals compared to the bigger companies that do the bigger canals that are filled with exhaustfumes and gondoliers that are mainly on their phones. Our gondolier grew up in Venice and showed us where he went to school, had a lot to tell and told us that he came from a long lineage of gondoliers 😀 I am very happy we chose for these guys instead of the huge corporation like gondolier services that are located at sea or...

Our gondolier, Nicolo (sp?) was profesional and shared history and local landmarks. The prices were exactly what we read they would be online (90 euro before 7pm, 110 euro after) for about a 30 minute private ride for up to 5 people. We were able to make the impulse decision to go without having to book, and that was lovely; keep in mind there is only one gondolier working here, so if you walk up while they are gone, you will have to wait until they are back.
