I really enjoyed the stay here, for several reasons. First of all, the location was close to the train station - we travelled as a family of 5, and with 3 large suitcases over only 3 bridges it was great that within 10 minutes we'd found the hotel. The price was sensational and we had to check several times to confirm that yes, this was all it was costing for the magnificent rooms we were lodging in.

Secondly, after touring Europe for over 3 weeks at this stage, it was the first hotel where someone took the time to show us to our room. I felt like a welcomes guest immediately.

Thirdly - the location again is fantastic for a family. Sure we had a superior double room (btw the largest rooms we've had our entire stay and this includes airbnb apartments) but more importantly, there are some superb restaurants nearby with sensational food (Alla Ferrata for example was great, even with a short time waiting for a table as they were extremely popular. Hey that was fine, they gave us free drinks and 15% discount off the bill without us even asking) and the prices and quality are very family friendly.

My only concern is the breakfast and you know what? Who cares - I've probably eaten too much eggs and bacon this holiday so frankly, some cereal is well needed at this point.

Finally, the service of the staff is top notch. I felt very welcome and I have no complaints at all of the facilities or the people who work here.

Now.. Some have complained about the distance of the hotel from the tourist attractions around Venice. I can tell you now that we walked the entire area of Venice with 3 kids in tow and did it all in less that a day with lunch and numerous gelato stops on the way. Venice isn't that big people and everything is very walkable. If you want to be closer to San Marco square expect to pay double the cost of everything and half the quality. Otherwise, come here and ask the staff where they would eat. You will be...

Recommended hotel. Lovely olde-worlde rooms, we stayed in two different rooms as there was a mix up with our booking/credit card. Hotel said our card didn't work so cancelled our room - they did email but we were on holidays not checking emails and missed the query which was only a day or so before our arrival at the hotel. But it was sorted out by Felipe, our room was gone but he did move us one room to another which was no problem. But still a concern that the credit card confirmation which I had received confirming our booking way back when I booked it... was subsequently not sufficient. I booked on their own website as well! At the hotel I used that very same credit card to pay and IT WORKED! So I think you need to nail down your booking with the hotel directly by separate email/phone to be certain. We were lucky even though our booking was cancelled totally they did find rooms for us in the end, but a concern you don't need.. rocking up to the Reception.. no room that would be awful.|Loved the breakfast, perfectly adequate, great rooms, bathrooms etc. All in all loved this little hotel and recommend.|Location for direct airport boat.. only a 3 minute walk. Great for other water boats as well. We loved this hotel, totally recommend. Great restaurants in the vicinity but during the day book your reservation if you want to sit outside, we visited in May and it was hard to get an outside table already. So spot a restaurant on your walk, book it and be stress free! We liked Muro San Stae (table outside a must!) and Al Nono Risorto (looks odd outside but the secret garden at the back is unbelieveable so make sure ask for table here)...

We selected this hotel for a 2 night stay prior to a Mediterranean cruise departing from Trieste. Loved the location which was not a bad walk from the alilaguna stop from the airport and a short walk to the Santa Lucia Train station (two small and one really big bridge away). It is in a quieter area with a lot of locals which was so nice as a respite from the crowds in the most popular tourist areas. We were offered a choice of two rooms and selected one on the first floor. Very convenient and comfortable. Hotel lobby is lovely with beautiful glass fixtures. They offer a small bar service if you care for a cocktail at the hotel. Breakfast was included featuring a good array of continental options like pastries, bread, hard boiled eggs etc and as lovely woman works the breakfast and provides freshly made coffee, cappuccino, etc. we were very close to some good local bars and restaurants which offered good food and drinks at reasonable prices. It was also very easy to walk to main features like Rialto bridge. We did a foodie walking tour and it was very easy to reach our starting point. Price was very reasonable as well. We were very happy...

4.2/5 overall score. In general as for Venice where each building is old and there’s not much space those rooms were big. The bed was comfortable, bathroom is also great with an ability to open a window. TV had many channels. We got kettle, mugs and coffee/tea set. The staff was generally very nice. What I found odd is that you have to leave the room key. I haven’t seen that anywhere else. You have to pick a date for breakfast and there’s 40 minutes for you to eat. Sometimes it takes a couple of minutes to get coffee. I recommend getting a coffee machine. That would speed things up. The window view was ok. The elevator is small but good that it’s there. Breakfast could be better. It was the smallest breakfast I ever had in a hotel and rolls are too hard to eat.

This hotel is so beautiful, of high quality and located in the best area in my opinion. The staff are super nice and breakfast also very good! The hotel is located in a residential area close to many excellent restaurants, my favorite being the one on the canal. When we arrived by train, we were approached by a porter that walked our luggage on a cart to the hotel for $25 or offered $60 via water taxi. You can take the ferry or water taxi to the main attractions, and you can walk there aswell. It was always very comforting to return to the location off the hotel after visiting the main attractions to get away from the crowds.
