My daughter and I stopped here after visiting Juliet’s balcony in Verona. She was very excited to see the candy store and we enjoy the atmosphere and shopping experience.
The prices were not great, but I was understanding because it was a tourist location.
The real problem was the candy itself. We filled our bag with somewhere around 12 different kinds of candy, and we ate only a few because the taste was awful. The “fudge”, if you can even call it that, had a texture closer to a Tootsie Roll, but with less flavor. The chocolates were bland and uninspired. Very milk/sugar intensive.
We enjoyed a couple of the gummies but even those were just “ok”.
Chances are by the time you see this review you’ll be in the same boat we are, with a bag full of candy we don’t...

The candies in this store is ridiculously overpriced, €40 for a kilo of candy! I am willing to pay if the quality was extremely good or if they were special but it was the normal candy that you can buy anywhere. Prices are not displayed anyware so customers are caught...

Well let me tell you that this tradition is being kept alive by Captain Candy the land based ,sweet selling pirate that lures children and adults alike into his shop of sweet delights illuminated by e numbers and sold at a massive markup. Not really that nice either. Do not go in expecting reasonably priced sweet treats. Consider yourselfes warned....
