Kimono Rental Rikawafuku Kamakura Store — Attraction in Kamakura

I absolutely enjoyed every experience! We visited on the 20th August. It was our first time in Japan and we wanted to rent out a kimono or Yukata.

We got the couples discount and my Fiance wanted to spoil me with their variety of accessories.

The ladies were so helpful and Sawako? Sayako? (I'm so sorry) Was the only English speaker there and she was absolutely helpful with choosing the yukata, she was so lovely and kind!

I also had another kind and nice lady (she has short hair) who helped me choose the accessories (the Obi and the accessories) she also helped me choose a hairstyle for me and everything came along nicely! I was very comfortable and felt.

The staff were very helpful, kind, and patient. They gave good advice on choosing a design that matches the style I wanted.

There were many beautiful kimono designs, and they were quite special. They had many similar styles to mine, just in different colors. All of them were so pretty that I had a hard time choosing!

My brothers commented that the designs here look more semi-formal to formal, which makes them more suitable for walking around the streets and taking photos. I agree — they looked elegant but still felt comfortable to wear outside.

Hair styling is included in the package, unless you want a premium style, which costs extra. Hairstyles have up to three different kind of hair accessories! But also depending on the hair style you've chosen

super lovely experience! 5 minute walk from kamakura station. it gets crowded even at 9.30am on a saturday morning so be sure to make reservations on their site for a fast and smooth experience. staff were lovely girls who could speak english, very patient, and gave recommendations whenever we asked! you can add add-on accessories on the day itself and you’ll be spoilt for choice - but the staff were very patient while we decided what accessories to add. the package of kimono + hairstyle is worth it.

the store is quite small, so don’t expect a big sprawling store. still the selection of kimonos were pretty good, be sure to come earlier so you have the first dibs :-) the process was quick too when we came back to return the kimonos. overall really...
